Great selection and friendly staff, with a cozy interior and great vibes. There's a nice mix of secondhand and new books, and every inch of the store is packed with things to peruse. I have somewhat eclectic tastes when it comes to what I look for in a used book store, and Mac's delivers. I was able to buy some niche things I was looking for and buy best sellers in the same trip. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
I have been coming here since I was a little girl. I went to every Harry Potter release here, and it’s always the place. I like to place my order for pre-orders. It’s such a great vibe and not a perfect location where you can grab lunch at Tree Country Bistro across the street, you can go next-door and grab a milkshake at Tommy’s, and you can even do your grocery shopping across the street. Everything about this shop is what I dream a bookstore would be. Multiple levels, new, and used books, and familiar faces that that stick around the store for years, and make you feel like family.
This was my first time visiting Mac’s and I’ll definitely return. I was there for a reading by author Allegra Solomon. I had a chance to engage with the owner and staff. They were warm, welcoming and insightful. Their collection is amazing! We need more independent book stores like Mac’s.
Good store, good people. Taking off three stars for joining every other terrible gift shop sporting “hilarious” socks with f-bombs all over them. How very clever. Bonus points for putting them next to the kids books.
Really cool book store located in a great area of Cleveland, definitely stop in and then walk around and check out the other shops! Great selection of books, magazines, and zines I appreciated that they carried Interview! Everything seems pretty reasonably priced too. Great spot!
