We dined at Mandarin Gourmet in San Jose with a group of seven people. We ordered five main dishes to share family-style and soup for everyone. The food was excellent. Every dish was flavorful, well prepared, and nicely presented. Portions were generous and perfect for sharing, and overall the quality of the food really stood out. The only downside was the service. The staff was polite, but service was noticeably slow. Overall, a very good place for Chinese food. I would definitely return for the excellent food.
Came here with a larger group for an impromptu Christmas lunch, as our plans changed due to a storm. They took us right in and we had a wonderful lunch. The food and service were great. I've driven by this restaurant for years and happy I finally had a chance to visit. Thank you Mandarin Gourmet for saving our Christmas!
Have been going here for over 20 years. It's a core memory that my brother and I go here with our father. We used to go a lot more frequently in highschool but as adults we are living in different counties so we still go there occasionally but just not frequently like we did when we were kids. We are adults now in our 40s. Been going here since we were 13-14yr old. We went here a year ago or something. Still has great food. Might come again this week w my daughter. Always delivers good food to the table. Never disappointed.
Best and most delicious Chow Mein ever, cooked to utter perfection with the utmost gorgeous texture.
Very nice traditional Restaurant that is family orientated. The food was good and plentiful. I would suggest that they chop up the peppers so the food can be hotter rather than the whole peppers, but other than that the flavor was great.
