We had a wonderful experience with Math Advantage and Janet Yates. My daughter has always been a strong student but struggled with Honors Math 3 and wanted extra support. Janet has an incredible ability to break problems down in a way that truly makes sense - starting with the simplest step and building from there. More than just helping her get the right answers, Janet helped my daughter cement the concepts and gain real confidence in her ability to solve problems independently. The confidence paid off and my daughter scored a 95 on her EOC. We are grateful for Janet's patience, clarity, and teaching style and highly recommend Math Advantage.
My daughter had a summer assignment for 9th grade honors geometry due at the beginning of the school year this year. We reached out to Ms Yates in a panic about trying to complete this assignment. She was recommended to us by a friend. We were able to get an appointment with her within the same week. She was wonderful to work with. Bella went on and on about what a wonderful teacher she was and how helpful she was to her. We met with her for 3 visits and Bella was able to complete the whole packet. Bella also has been able to reach out to her since then, if she has needed help with her geometry class. We can’t recommend her enough. We will arranging appointments soon for my 5th grader too. The price is great for all the quality time spent with our daughter.
Ms Yates had been a great help to my high school child with AP Precalculus. Not only has she helped with content mastery, but also with math specific study skills and test taking skills. Highly recommend!!
Words can not describe how much Math Advantage is helping my daughter. This October will be 2 years since we have been apart of the Math Advantage family. My daughter started with very low confidence, unable to recite her multiplications, tears constantly flowed from problem to problem. She was in the 5th grade but on a 2nd grade math level. I became frustrated as a mom, hurt for my child. In as little as 6 months my daughter was reciting her multiplications & the tears slowly started drying up. Not only did Ms. Janet help her gain confidence but myself as well. She is now heading into 4th quarter of 6th grade. She has been on A/B honor roll EVERY quarter. From 50’s & 60’s GPA in math to 90 plus !!! Can we say Holy Smokes!!! Math Advantage we appreciate you all for educating, loving, & caring for us!
I highly recommend Math Advantage in Clemmons. Mrs. Yates has been so helpful for my daughter’s issues with Precalc. She has improved her grade and she has learned valuable lessons that will help her study habits in other classes in college.
