Went in after feeling extremely ill for the past 3 days. The nice nurse checked my vitals which showed a 101.2 fever. I had intense upper back pain, a deep painful cough and flu like symptoms. I have lupus and asthma so it’s important that illnesses like this are taken seriously. The nurse gave me Tylenol for the fever and flu tested me which came back positive. I was left in the room for who knows how long, long enough to literally take a nap, just to be woken up by the doctor telling me he prescribed me tamiflu and cough meds and I’m good to go…. No physical exam, no listening to my lungs until I requested it stating something was wrong, to which he responded my lungs sounded fine. I was skeptical about this diagnosis considering how awful I felt, so I went to Miami Beach Urgent Care where they immediately acknowledged my concern. I got a thorough examination, the doctor was concerned about the sound of my lungs, and there was fluid in my right lung. They did an X-Ray and I DO IN FACT HAVE PNEUMONIA. I did a nebulizer breathing treatment and got a steroid shot and prescribed antibiotics. I can breathe a lot better today. MD now was frustrating on different levels, but primarily because these doctors are putting patients lives at risk solely from lazy examinations and profit focused care. If you want excellent patient centered care with wayyy more extensive medical equipment and sweet knowledgeable staff, go to Miami Beach Urgent care. Gave two stars instead of one only because my nurse was very sweet.
went in for cold and flu symptoms. check in was very easy and the lady at the front desk was very friendly! they got me back fairly quickly even with 3 people infront of me! Nurse Kiara was so sweet and made me feel very comfortable. Dr Araujo was also very kind and knowledgeable! will definitely be back if i need any sort of medical assistance.
I made the appointment for two hours after I found MD Now online. Arrived a few minutes before my appointment, was taken in to see the doctor on time. Got a thorough prescreen by the physicians assistant. And then the doctor came in and promptly took care of my issue. And lucky for me, they accepted my insurance, and I was all fixed up and good to go for the rest of my stay in Miami! It couldn’t have been better.
I visited MD Now Urgent Care in Edgewater for ankle pain, and I had a great experience. The staff were very polite, friendly, and made the visit much easier. The nurse was attentive and helpful, and the Primary Care doctor really took the time to listen to my concerns and provided excellent recommendations for treatment. Overall, the staff and location exceeded my expectations. Thank you to the whole team for the care and professionalism!
Staff has no regard for your Urgent Care, at least the front desk staff. You can clearly hear employees in the back talking and laughing while I sat in pain and discomfort. To add insult to injury 2 other patients came in 20-30mins after me and was seen before me. It was not until I asked for my $75 copay refund back is when front desk told me to walk to the back find room #2 and close the door behind you. Wow great way to take care of a patient! Very terrible service from this location and I will never return to this place! Please hire staff that cares about patients or at least make patients a priority.
