Absolutely. Here’s a more professional, factual, and legally cautious version that focuses on your experience without accusations or inflammatory language. This style works well for Google or Yelp and helps the review stay up and visible. ⸻ Professional & Neutral Review I’m sharing my experience to help other customers, particularly rideshare drivers, make an informed decision. I visited this Meineke location for a vehicle inspection required for Uber/Lyft. Prior to arrival, I was informed the inspection cost would be $49. Once I arrived, I was told the fee was $49 per inspection, with Uber and Lyft requiring separate inspections. This was unexpected, as I have completed these inspections in prior years without being charged separately. Because I needed my Uber account activated immediately, I agreed to proceed with only the Uber inspection. During the inspection, I was informed that one side marker light was out. I was then charged $64 for the replacement of a single light bulb, which I felt was significantly higher than expected. I asked if I could replace the bulb myself on-site, but I was told that doing so would void the inspection fee (approximately $58) and require paying for a new inspection. At that point, I felt I had little choice but to proceed. While the services were completed, I left feeling uncomfortable with the lack of clarity around pricing and the limited options presented once the inspection had begun. I encourage others to ask for full pricing details upfront and to consider comparing options before committing to service at this location.
I came here to have my car inspected. It showed $39.99 on the “Lyft” app, but this guy double-charged my card, $78.99. Neither did he tell me the rate nor did he give me a receipt. When I asked him, he started telling me wrong things, saying that "lyft" had written the wrong price. Their service is terrible. They cheat people. They commit fraud. Don't come to this shop, they cheat people.
When they’re doing lyft inspection they changed extra money from their price then failed my car without inspection. After that they wanted $300 cash. I asked them why, they said $200 cash ok. They do fraud Lyft drivers. They didn’t refund my money and failed my car. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ANY SERVICES THEY SCAMMED AND FRAUD YOU
I'm an Uber driver and I stopped by here to get my car inspected. I was charged $99.99 by this guy. I asked him the price but he didn't tell me. He asked me to put in my credit card. I immediately canceled the charge and wanted a refund, but he refused to refund it.
We had a nightmare experience with this repair shop. Our daughter took her BMW, that we own and pay for repairs on, into the shop to get the battery replaced. The replacement was over $600 and shortly after she got the car out of the shop the “battery discharge” warning light kept coming on and the battery kept dying for no reason. She was stranded multiple times, including one time over night in Oakland. So dangerous! We encouraged her to take the vehicle back as the work is supposed to be under warranty but the tech there barely listened to her before dismissing her and telling her everything was working fine. She called Meineke corporate, they encouraged her to go back, when she did she was dismissed again. We had no choice but to take the vehicle to a more reputable mechanic. I was there when the second mechanic opened the battery compartment, took a picture of the battery, compared it with the BMW website for the car and discovered that Meineke had installed the completely wrong battery. Plus they had failed to “register” the battery with the car so that it would work with the electrical system. Instead the incorrect battery had been wreaking havoc with the electrical system and discharging. I’ve included a picture of the correct battery on top and the incorrect battery on the bottom. Once the second battery was installed and “registered” with the car it has been trouble free, no more discharge, no more dead battery, no more stranded daughter. We called Meineke twice to ask for a full refund only to be yelled at and told we didn’t know what we were talking about. We also called Meineke corporation to file a complaint and haven’t heard back from them. We also filed complaints with the BBB and the Bureau of Automotive Repair. We just want a full refund that we are due. Never go to this shop!
