I just completed an amazing weekend of Pilates training that was lead by Heather and Haley in partnership with Balanced Body. The content was informative and exactly what I wanted to learn. The learning environment was inclusive and inspired curiosity and knowledge. The studio is a large open space with great sunlight and well taken care of reformers and mats. I can’t recommend this place enough- either for personal practice or to start your journey as a Pilates teacher.
Great great great great studio for pilates that exactly I have been looking for near me. Great amazing instructors. Heather is VERY knowledgeable and caring. I do not actually wanna recommend it cuz I am worried if I can get into the class I want if more people know how good this place is lol. (Kidding but not kidding)
This is the place I've been looking for years to practice Pilates! I've been training extensively in Europe for several years, and after moving to Vancouver I tested several studios in order to find the proper place for my practice. I know it takes many years of teaching and own practice to become a skilled instructor, you don't become a good one overnight, and here are more people like this! I really appreciate your professional approach, the extensive knowledge of the moving body and the creativity of each class. It's a pleasure to train here, no matter the class or the instructor - and I worked with almost all of them. Also, there's some flexibility in booking the classes which for a mother of two is highly appreciated. Thanks so much for not taking the business into the too commercial approach:). Pilates should stay first of all quality, mindful movement!
I arrived at Meridian pilates three years ago as a complete beginner. After one month, I started to regain mobility in areas that I thought were "stuck" forever. I take two classes a week and my flexibility, mobility and strength continue to improve each week. The studio is small with a welcoming friendly vibe, the instructors are the best, and the clients are all friendly. I highly recommend Meridian to everyone of all fitness levels.
I have been attending classes at Meridian for over a decade. The instructors I have had are knowledgeable and well equipped to make modifications, whether it's to challenge a very able body or to assist someone recovering from an injury. Many of the instructors, like Marlis, are very creative and can make class interesting even after many years of practice! The staff is friendly and they have made the studio a welcoming environment that I'm always looking forward to going back to.
