During my last visit for an expensive service, my stylist took a photograph of a problem area without my knowledge or consent, despite the fact that I had been explicit from my very first appointment that I do not allow photographs. When she later disclosed this to me and showed me the image, she admitted that she had taken it deliberately and “sneakily” because she knew I did not like pictures. I felt humiliated and deeply betrayed. I had already tipped her $500 in good faith to account for the issues with my extensions. To then learn that my privacy had been knowingly violated, with the stated intention of showing the image to others and discussing me, destroyed my trust and confidence entirely. Her actions were a serious and intentional violation of my privacy and professional boundaries and made it impossible for me to feel comfortable in her presence again. EDITED TO ADD THE FOLLOWING AFTER MILVALI RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW STATING IT WAS A MISCOMMUNICATION: There is no misunderstanding. From my first appointment, I clearly stated that I do not consent to photographs. That boundary was knowingly violated, by the Stylist’s own admission. She described her conduct as deliberate and “sneaky.” That was her word, not mine. She further stated that the photograph was taken with the intention of showing it to others because she believed "they would not otherwise believe the poor condition of my hair". Any prior agreement to limited "after" photos, under specific conditions and without my face included, does not authorize or excuse any photographs for any purpose taken without my knowledge or consent. This was a serious breach of trust and professional boundaries. It ended the professional relationship and is why I will not be engaging in further discussion by phone, email, text, or otherwise.
As a thin hair girlie, I was nervous about getting extensions for the first time in over 10 years and causing damage to my hair. I had my first consultation with Deb and was reassured about my I-tips being the right choice and If taken care of properly , would cause no damage! I just had my second appointment after my first install and wow! Not only did the extensions look amazing, but I felt heard and taken care of! I’ll be returning over and over again for the foreseeable future!
5 stars, no notes! I booked a haircut and my stylist took the time to truly understand my vision and delivered exactly that. I left feeling refreshed and happy with the results. Everyone in interacted with was warm and professional, and the overall vibe was laid back, but still super polished and professional. On top of an amazing service experience, the booking process was super easy too. The front desk team was friendly, responsive, and made the whole scheduling process a breeze. The salon itself feels clean, welcoming, and organized from start to finish. Highly recommend this spot if you want great service, an easy booking process, and a cut that actually turns out better than you pictured.
I buy all my Kevin Murphy and Oribe products here as well as my curling irons. I went in and saw Fiona for a color correction. I previously had black hair and now have a gorgeous red color. I also got a long layered haircut with a bang trim and it frames my face so nicely. It is a beautiful ambiance, and the best experience every time. I love visiting Milvali and always leaving with perfect hair. PS. They also offer lash extensions here!
I went in for hair extensions removal and reapplication, and Fidel was amazing throughout the whole process. He not only did a flawless job with the extensions but also treated my hair with a great mask that left it feeling so soft and healthy. To finish, he gave me a fantastic styling that I absolutely loved. Fidel is professional, attentive, and really talented—I couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommend him!
