This restaurant deserves a full 10/10 for service, decor, and food. I genuinely think this may be the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. Everything about the experience was impeccable from start to finish. Every dish was packed with incredible flavour, the portion sizes were generous, and the pricing felt spot on for the quality. The service was also flawless! We started with San Daniel prosciutto and a pear, walnut and Gorgonzola salad, both of which were beautifully balanced and full of flavour. For mains, the pollo pepato with fries was outstanding, and the bistecca with mushroom sauce and beans was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The venue itself is stunning and adds so much to the overall experience. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be returning.
Steak was thick and juicy, beautifully plated. Marinara pasta had rich flavours. Great service. Was seated in the outdoor section and there was heavy rain/storm, hence dropped the atmosphere a little.
Every time I've been here ( 4-5) I've loved the food, service, drinks. You would not expect this quality in a shopping centre. Just love it ! Fantastic Italian food and hospitality. Do book ahead, make your life easier
We had a terrible experience at Modo Mio. We ordered the lamb risotto, garlic bread, and salt and pepper calamari. After a couple of bites, my partner found a long hair in the risotto. A waitress apologized and offered to remake it, but we declined. After a few more bites, my partner lost his appetite. The waitress later returned claiming it wasn’t a hair but “part of the lamb,” which was completely absurd and insulting. At that point, neither of us wanted to keep eating. I only managed a few pieces of calamari and a bit of salad. They removed the risotto from the bill, but still charged full price for the calamari I barely ate. For a supposedly high-end Italian restaurant, this was a disappointing and off-putting experience. We won’t be back.
Surf and Turf ($58): It’s 250g Eye Fillet Steak, which also includes mashed potatoes, five shrimps, creamy garlic butter, and served with a Salad or Italian Beans. They can also help you add some peppers when it’s delivered. The prawns are fresh, juicy, chewy, and the butter complements quite well. I made my steak medium well and it turns out amazing, 100% lean, succulent and full of umami. Most importantly, it is considerate of the staff that they meet my request for no garlics because I’m allergic to them. In addition, to note that all the drinks on the drink menu are alcoholics. The restaurant is located in the middle of the shopping centre in the outdoor area, where there is a water garden with pedestrian bridge. Aside from that, it’s also quite near the restrooms, which is next to Coach. To sum up, I appreciate the sophisticated design and decor of the restaurant. You can still clearly see outside easily from the tables indoors. However, if you want to dine in indoor seating spaces, there is a time limit of one hour. Overall, above average prices, amazing foods but the dishes take longer to cook, 9.5 out of 10!
