I reached out to Noble Woof after receiving a strong recommendation about a year prior from someone I was chatting with one day. Their dog shared some of the same issues as my dog Loki, including marked difficulty with cooperative care. He was absolutely terrified of just walking into the vet, and was so distressed during physical exams, vaccinations, and labs that he would urinate on himself and attempt to bite staff out of fear. Prior to calling Noble Woof, I had already completed a year of group classes covering multiple other skills at another dog training business. Although these other skills were great and helped with solidifying my bond with Loki through training, I still overall felt defeated and hopeless and like a horrible dog owner, wondering if someone else could do a better job Calling Noble Woof was the best decision I ever made. Brie, who is also the owner, shared that she specialized in cooperative care, and offered to take Loki and I as clients, and so we have had the honor of working with her the last 4 months after signing up for the Ghost Pepper package, which I think now is the Gold Package. Brie is patient, kind, incredibly thorough, and her knowledge of dog behavior and specifically cooperative care training is amazing. It is obvious how much time and thoughtfulness she takes when reviewing the homework videos I submit, and her feedback is always easy to understand. She does a great job of responding to questions I have in a timely manner and does her best to accommodate my schedule when planning tutoring and trainings. One caveat to this is that I'm a huge planner and think we scheduled many of our sessions several months out. With Brie's help and guidance, Loki has made such major improvements, and it is a bonus that he absolutely loves Brie, and you can tell how much Brie loves dogs. Another benefit I wasn't expecting is that as his confidence is improving around the cooperative care, this confidence seems to be rolling over to other areas of working with him, which has been great! If you are feeling overwhelmed, reach out to the amazing team at Noble Woof; I couldn't be more grateful that I did.
I sought out Noble Woof for help with my reactive 3 year old mini Aussie, Murphy - we had tried group classes and while they were useful, they weren’t the best setting for Murphy to learn in, as an eager, excited dog with limited patience. We opted for private training with Meredith. I can’t recommend her/Noble Woof enough. She was great at breaking down the concepts, building on the skills she was teaching us and Murphy over time, and answering questions that we had about training. I saw a huge improvement in Murphy’s ability to self-regulate and stay calm in situations that had previously been triggering. Meredith helped Murphy become a more relaxed, comfortable dog, and gave us more tools for managing his behaviors before they escalated. The investment was absolutely worth it for his long-term well-being and our partnership.
We did private training through Noble Woof with Valerie when we first got our rescue pup, and it was phenomenal! Valerie was patient with us (and our dog) and super informative about why our pup might be behaving a certain way and what we can do to positively reinforce good behaviors. After each session, she sent us a written summary about everything we worked on, as well as training homework for us to do with our pup in the off time between sessions. After we finished our private training sessions, we enrolled in puppy 102, and loved it. The primary trainer, Meredith, was incredibly knowledgeable and did a great job giving everyone personal attention, even in the group setting. I appreciated the small class size, as well as the setup of the "classroom" where each dog had their own little pod for learning. We will definitely be back for another class with our girl!
I'm so grateful for Noble Woof and for our trainer, Valerie Peck for the invaluable training sessions we've had for our dog, Rocco! Rocco is an anxious pup and unfortunately we had noticed some reactivity patterns develop that we were not well equipped to handle. With Valerie's guidance, we were able to learn so much and have the right tools at our disposal to feel in control of situations and more importantly, understand Rocco's body language much better. He's taken so well to the training already, we're excited to be able to build upon the progress and feel that we're giving him the best quality of life possible all thanks to the work we've done with Valerie! Thank you, Valerie!!
I can’t say enough good things about Noble Woof! The group classes we’ve taken with our two adult dogs have been excellent, particularly Christina’s Relaxation and Focus-Work. Our earlier wonderful experiences led to us enrolling our new puppy in puppy socials and Puppy Playschool, and we’re just beginning Puppy 101! Brie, Christina, Clara, Meredith, Jamie and the rest of the staff here are caring, compassionate and deeply knowledgeable about both the theory and practice of modern dog training. I’m not new to dog guardianship or training, but I continue to learn a ton from all our experiences here, and my relationships with all three of our dogs and my handling skills have improved exponentially as a result. The focus on building joyful and supportive relationships with our dogs through communication and training is invaluable.
