First time coming here and this place is amazing love the food and the customer service!! Totally will be coming back again ... Recommend this place to anyone that likes vegetarian food and to add ur own tandoori grills also…
So glad to see another restaurant in this area that serves South Indian food! They have a vast menu but not everything on the menu was available, if you are going there for something specific on the menu call and check in advance. Have to say their ghee masala dosa and Mysore masala dosa were the best of what we had ordered.the chutneys were good too. Could taste a strong red chilly flavor in some dishes like paneer tikka, chutney etc. it was Saturday evening looked like they were mostly busy with takeout orders. We could hear a lot of talking from inside the kitchen :)
I am sorry but I had high expectations after seeing the previous reviews. Food is not per standard even compared to other 2-3 star restaurants in the area. Paneer butter masala Curry was very watery and gobi65 was like eating bland pakora. Egg biryani was boiled eggs on side and some biryani rice that mostly just had rose water flavour and not much biryani taste. The people working here are really nice but I hope they get a better chef to compete with the food around.
Finally ordered from them for the first time since they opened! Just wanted to give it a try, so I ordered only two items — Veg Kothu Parotta and Chicken 65. Both were excellent! I really appreciate that the Chicken 65 didn’t have too much artificial coloring, which is impressive. The Kothu Parotta was also very tasty. Personally, I’d prefer it served with raita instead of the current side dish, but that’s just my taste. Wishing the team all the best with their new business! One small suggestion , maybe in near future — switching from plastic takeout boxes would make it even better. Thank you!
I recently dined at Noura, newly opened, a charming South Indian restaurant in Evergreen, South San Jose, and I have to say—it’s hands-down one of the best South Indian spots in the entire Bay Area. What truly sets Noura apart is their incredible variety of authentic dosas—crispy, perfectly fermented, and bursting with traditional flavors that I honestly haven’t seen replicated anywhere else in the Bay Area. From classic Plain and Masala Dosas to unique regional specialties like Rava Dosa, Onion Dosa, Egg Dosa, Chicken Dosa and even Cheese Dosa for the adventurous, every dosa is made fresh with love and precision. But the real magic? The abundance of side items—not just one or two, but multiple chutneys (coconut, tomato, mint, peanut) and a rich, flavorful sambar that’s perfectly spiced and soul-warmingly delicious. It’s the kind of generous, authentic accompaniment spread that makes each bite a complete experience. Not only dosa they have full menu for Vegetarians and Non-Veg. The staff are an absolute delight—warm, smiling, and genuinely friendly, making you feel like family from the moment you walk in. They’re happy to explain the menu, recommend pairings, and ensure your meal is perfect. If you’re craving real South Indian cuisine with unmatched dosa variety and heartfelt hospitality, Noura is a must-visit. I’ll be back soon—and you should too! Highly recommend for dosa lovers and anyone seeking authentic flavors in the Bay Area!
