Love this store, first time going in there today and found amazing prices & pieces on my first purchase.
Old Soul Vintage is a must stop when you are in Detroit. They have a great selection of vintage clothes from all the decades. Prices are reasonable too compared to some other vintage shops. Very nice staff too.
Very well curated and full of awesome vintage pieces. Clothing was very reasonably priced and the selection was broad and extensive. Staff was very friendly and helpful, shout out to Audrey for being so awesome and helping me look my best.
I very rarely write reviews as I believe opinions vary widely, and it’s best to investigate yourself and form your own opinion. In this case though I feel that I would want to know when a business doesn’t display thoughtful customer service practices. My review is regarding my customer service experience only-not the shop. All of this began at the end of August. I emailed the shop, and asked if they were interested in taking a look at a small vintage collection I have (I had found out pre-emailing that they travel within a certain radius if you can’t bring stuff in to them). I was told that they were busy for most of the month of September; but that they would be available on the 22nd. So even with the wait I scheduled the 22nd. On the 20th (no phone call or advanced heads up) I receive a text that stated that all of their accounts had been hacked and that they’d have to reschedule due to there not being any funds (excuse me, what?). Being a kind person (albeit very weirded out that someone would go to such extravagant lengths to seemingly storytell) I said I’d be happy to reschedule and when. Shortly thereafter, I receive a very vague reply about how it would be at least 2 weeks before anything could be remedied, and that they’d reach out when they knew more. Now at this point I was suspicious; but I decided to wait…(and then waiting becomes weeks). I finally email (and call) to follow up on where rescheduling stands. They don’t call me back; but send (again) a very vague text message about being too busy now and not knowing when they’ll be able to reschedule. I value peoples time and I would like to think that they value mine. In the future maybe have some forethought, and simply communicate with someone. Don’t string them along for weeks-hoping that by avoiding them they’ll get the hint.
There is A LOT of great clothing here and there were many pieces I tried on and didn't get because they were too small, but I hope they find a good home with one of you! I DID buy two dresses that I'm obsessed with. Dresses were very reasonably priced for a vintage boutique, with most dresses seemingly priced between $30-70. (In NYC, items of this caliber would easily be priced double that.)
