We went on this boat experience yesterday for one hour and it honestly turned out to be one of the best things we’ve done in Melbourne. Seeing the city from the water gives you a completely different and beautiful perspective, calm, relaxing, and absolutely stunning. What made it even better was that it wasn’t too busy at all, so we were able to really enjoy the ride without feeling rushed or crowded. We had plenty of time to take photos, enjoy the view, and even fly our drone to capture some incredible shots of the city and the water. The whole atmosphere was peaceful and fun at the same time. We brought our own food and drinks, which was perfect, and the boat had Bluetooth so we connected our music easily. The sound system was surprisingly really good, which made the whole cruise feel like our own private little party on the water. The only small downside was the steering, there was a noticeable delay in the response, and it took a lot of effort to turn the boat left and right. It wasn’t a deal breaker at all, just something that required a bit more patience and strength. Overall though, the experience was absolutely amazing. Beautiful views, great vibes, freedom to enjoy your own food and music, and a relaxed environment with no crowds. I would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting Melbourne or even locals looking for something different and memorable to do. We’ll definitely be doing it again!
Amazing day out. Easy to find, great correspondence from company. Staff were friendly and helpful from moment we arrived. Boat was very comfortable. Wish we had opted for longer! Easy to operate. Connecting to Bluetooth to play some music was an unexpected bonus. Will definitely do again.
For first timers on a self skipper, we had a great time. I was a bit apprehensive to get on tge boat, but Adam, (the staff who checked us in) was great at orienting us and giving us a run down of how to work the boat. We enjoyed the ride down the river, the views were amazing, the cherry on the cake is we could play our own music via bluetooth on the boat! Cool experience! 10/10 would recommend!!
We had such a fantastic time with ON A BOAT along the Yarra River this morning! The whole experience was easy, relaxing, and a lot of fun. The staff were super friendly and helpful — they gave clear instructions and made sure we felt confident steering the boat ourselves. The views from the water were absolutely beautiful — we got to see Melbourne’s skyline from a whole new angle. The boat was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a small group . It’s such a great idea for a weekend activity, celebration, or even a casual catch-up with family and friends. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting or living in Melbourne — it’s such a unique way to enjoy the city! 🚤🌇
