This was my first and last time buying a home kit from Painting with a Twist. I purchased two kits online and requested a pickup date of Sunday, going off the business hours listed on Google. Turns out, these hours are wrong and the store is closed on Sundays. I called Monday, and an employee mentions that the store employee “forgot” to email me back. I tried to reschedule a pickup, but they could not guarantee a pickup at the midtown location. I had to drive an hour to Katy to arrange the pickup. The instructions for the kits themselves are awful. A page and a half of extremely vague instructions and no color mixing guide. Save your money and lookup a YouTube tutorial. The home kits are a scam and there is zero communication and organization from the business on helping make the process easier.
Went last Saturday and let me tell you, it was definitely needed. It was so much fun!! Miguel was our instructor. He was very nice and easy going. They had some primo music in the background. His instructions were clear and easy. They made sure we had sufficient time and paint during the paint session. They allowed us to add some final touches before leaving. Would definitely return! :)
On July 24th, we hosted an event for our work's employee club at Painting with a Twist Midtown. The stellar service we received was above and beyond from booking to leaving the studio! Necia, the studio manager, was an ANGEL and such a pleasure when it came to questions and bookings. We had booked with a short-notice, so there was a shortage of artists, but she took the time to find an available artist from another studio! Louis was our artist-instructor and he kept up the great service by combining humor and actual art skills, so all attendees left feeling like Van Gogh (or Picasso). My friend painted her bag during the session, and when she was displeased with the result, Louis offered to correct it for her with the left-over paint from the session! My only regret is not leaving a review sooner! Businesses that show they care for their customers deserve recognition. I will definitely be back (especially if I'm drinking, hehe). :)
We went here with a group of 10 as a work social event. Miguel was a great instructor. He was playing music, he was very nice, and he offered individual help when someone asked for it. He also included a little game of pictionary in the middle as a little break. I would definitely recommend!
