I had a very disappointing experience at this Petsmart grooming location. The groomer shaved my dog despite my clear instructions to only remove mats, and the manager I spoke to about it was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. He repeatedly talked over me, saying things like, “So you’re saying the groomer is a liar?” and “Do you know what an 1/8 inch blade is?” He seemed more focused on defending the staff than listening to my concerns. When I asked if the salon is supposed to call the owner before changing the grooming plan, he brushed it off and said, “I’m going based on the notes here and your signature, I haven’t even spoken to the groomer.” He offered only a $10 refund for an issue that involved ignoring my instructions and causing unnecessary stress for my dog. Overall, this was a terrible customer service experience.
I shop at PetSmart because they carry the cat litter my cat prefers, which I usually purchase online. I recently started buying it in-store instead, and my experiences had been fine until this visit. During my most recent visit, I was treated unprofessionally at the register. The cashier refused to accept my cash payment because I used a $2 bill, stating that the store does not accept them. This was shocking, as $2 bills are legal U.S. currency. Several customers in line were also surprised by this refusal. An uncommon bill does not make it invalid, counterfeit, or unacceptable. Refusing legal cash based on assumptions is inappropriate for a national retailer. Normally, I would not leave a review, but this experience was unacceptable.
Dog food, toys, grooming, play camp, training and hotel in one shop. My Australian Sheppy stayed overnight for 2 days and seemed to enjoy his stay. Staff knows all the dogs by name and very friendly. Spacious store and aisles to move around with the big dogs.
Worst experience ever. They had my dog for 2 1/2 days and allegedly bathed her both days. Then I get a phone call literally like 5 mins before I'm supposed to pick her up and I'm told they couldn't bathe her because she had diarrhea so bad it was like a faucet. So I pick her up and immediately she smelled 100x worse then when I dropped her off and she had poop all over her back legs and tail. Not to mention she was soaking wet and cold. We had to walk 2.3mi home and not even exaggerating a little bit, she was projectile pooping almost the entire walk and when she wasn't it was because i had stopped us so I could clean her up a little bit. I've read at least 4 other reviews that are identical to mine. My dog is still sick and I'm about to take her to emergency vet. I would never recommend them to anyone. I could say more but I'll just leave it at that.
This was the worst experience I've had; the staff are completely unhelpful and expect us to fend for ourselves. I don't understand what they're doing here, especially the male employees.
