Yesterday my wife and I visited a small phone and computer shop in Surfers Paradise called PhoneChase, and I felt it was worth sharing our experience with the Surfers Paradise community. We went in to see Marco, a young local business owner who has been set up there for about three months. We originally found him through Facebook Marketplace when we noticed he was selling second-hand iPhones. Like many people in our stage of life, we had been using our phones for close to ten years, so it was well and truly time for an upgrade. Marco took the time to explain our options clearly, and help us choose phones that suited what we actually need day to day, not what was most expensive or complicated. What really stood out for us was this: ▶️ He transferred all our data carefully and correctly, contacts, photos, messages, everything, calmly and without fuss ▶️ He explained what he was doing in plain language and never made us feel rushed ▶️ He helped both of us, not just the first sale ▶️ His prices were very fair, including cases and screen and camera protectors ▶️ Most importantly, he was patient, respectful, and genuinely helpful ▶️ A six-month warranty on our phones gave us peace of mind Marco also does phone and computer repairs, which many people need but can feel hesitant to ask for help with as technology keeps changing. Surfers Paradise has a large retired and semi-retired community, and many of us simply want our phones and computers to work properly so we can stay in touch with children, grandchildren, and friends, without feeling silly or pressured. Based on our experience, this young man provides exactly that kind of service. This post isn’t an advertisement, just a recommendation from two locals who appreciated clear explanations, fair pricing, and being treated with respect.
