First time here. Ordered the grilled chicken. Some of the best grilled I've eaten at a restaurant. Cool Little spot, lots of choices and reasonable prices. Wish I lived closer I'd eat here everyday.
I brought our family here before going to the Xmas boat parade at Tempe Town Lake. I chose this place based on Google reviews and we wanted Mexican food. It’s a small place with only outdoor seating, but they have patio heaters to keep you warm if it’s cold out. For 6 of us we ordered a carne asada burrito, carne asada fries, 2 carne asada tacos and a whole chicken meal. All of the meats were cooked over an open flame of mesquite charcoal and had great flavor. The staff was very friendly and asked if we needed the patio heaters on. Everyone raved about how good their food was. For drinks we had the horchata and jamaica and they were very good. We were very impressed with the quality and taste of all the food. If I had any complaint, and it’s not a big one, is that the sides (rice and pinto beans) that came with the whole chicken meal were a bit small. The meal is supposed to feed between 3-4 people. Yet, the side of rice and beans was enough for about 1.5 people. Not a huge deal but I wish they were a bit bigger. Overall, we really enjoyed the food here and we will definitely be back!
That was pretty amazing. Co-worker recommended this place. I'm traveling from out of town, not sure what to expect. I got three of the four tacos (now i kinda wish i got the tripe) and they did not disappoint. Very flavorful. Definitely off the grill. I'll be stopping again next time I'm in town for work.
I'd compare them to Filibertos and Picante beat them out in all ways except for the free chips and salsa since they didn't have something like that. They were about 10% more affordable and about 10% tastier with similar portion sizes. Though they don't have bathrooms or indoor seating they have fans and good shading so it's not too warm and there are other facilities near by if you need to go.
BEST MEXICAN we’ve had IN THE US! Ridiculously good. We tried the steak tacos, rolled chicken tacos, asada vampiro, grilled corn and the stuffed churros. ALL were delicious! The rolled chicken tacos and grilled corn were our favorites! We want to try the Carne Asada Fries because they look amazing. We really liked the churros too. They are stuffed and come in four flavors: vanilla, chocolate, caramel and strawberry. We loved the vanilla and chocolate! Pictures don’t do it justice. Daniel the owner is lovely! These are all of his personal recipes. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!! Highly recommend!!!
