The stylist name was DARIA and she is terrible BAD. . Our last 2 experiences here were terrible. The hairstylist didn’t care about cleanliness or a decent haircut. We went for our son's haircut. Yesterday's service provider was named Daria. My son was calm and didn’t make any trouble during the haircut. But when we came back to our car, we found she didn’t even used the blower to clean his head. His entire car seat became messy with hairs. I specifically told not to shorten the hairs above the forehead. But she did the opposite. And the neck side shape was terrible as you can see from the picture. We had to use scissor to make it look little better. I will NEVER visit here again.

Daria is the stylist name - Avoid her at all cost. Very disappointing and upsetting experience We’ve been taking our 3-year-old son to this location for the past two years and have always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. We couldn’t get an appointment with our usual stylist, Amber, and instead saw Daria. The appointment felt extremely rushed, and her attitude was rude and dismissive. The entire haircut took less than five minutes. Even though my son was sitting very still, she applied excessive pressure to his neck, which caused him to burst into tears. This has never happened in the past two years with other stylists. The haircut was poorly done and cut too close around his ears—one cut near his ear was bad enough to cause bleeding. To make matters worse, she did not clean him afterward—no brushing off loose hair and no blow-dry to clear hair from his neck or face. As a parent, this was extremely upsetting. A haircut for a small child should be handled with care, patience, and basic hygiene. I would strongly recommend avoiding this stylist. Zero skill and terrible professionalism.

Katrina did a great job on my son's first haircut. She made us feel very comfortable. He loved the firetruck seat, bubbles, and toy chest. He was not a fan of the clippers but it didn't last long. It's a bit expensive but worth it for his first time.

Do not book with DARIA. This review is not about the salon — it’s about Sunshyne herself. Her work was absolutely unprofessional. The haircut she gave my child was uneven, rushed, and carelessly done. The fade had no blending, and the line around the ear looked completely botched. Even worse, her clippers smelled terrible, like they hadn’t been sanitized in a long time. That’s not just poor quality — it’s unsanitary and irresponsible. We left extremely disappointed. If you care about hygiene, skill, or professionalism, stay away from Sunshyne. She should not be cutting hair until she’s properly trained.

TLDR: Very disappointed in our experience :/ Don’t trust DARIA. Her qualifications are lacking, as she used to be a mediocre dog groomer and does not appear to have any previous experience cutting any child’s hair before starting at this location. Take your business elsewhere if you care about your kids. **** My friend and I brought her autistic son for his first haircut a few months ago, and the experience was great! So, we booked back to school cuts for both my daughter and my god son. We saw that the previous stylist was no longer on staff, so we chose the person with the next best reviews which was Daria. I cannot fathom the good reviews for her, because the experience from start to finish was appalling. We started with my daughter who asked for curtain bangs and that we had just grown out straight across bangs, because my daughter does not like hair in her face and always ends up pushing it to each side in a middle part. To clarify, the only two things my daughter asked for was to not have too much length off, and to have curtain bangs. Daria made a few rude remarks about the state of her hair that rubbed me wrong, but I digress. She then proceeded to do her hair, and pressured my daughter into cutting off more than 2” of her baby hair. Daria stated that she liked her hair in a side part, so she cut and styled it like that. My daughter is too polite to say she was upset with the haircut, but quickly broke down when we left the store and needed a lot of talking down. She also stated Daria was extremely rough with her as far as pulling her hair and blowing the blow dryer straight into her face at times. This wasn’t even the part that makes this 1 star. My godson has sensory processing disorder and is only a few months from his official autism diagnosis. We made it very clear on the notes when booking, and directly to Daria ahead of time and several times during. Daria showed NO compassion. She rushed through his haircut, did not allow him a single moment to calm down. Which ended up in cuts all over his neck, a stab wound from scissors in his head, a jacked up new hairline, and a very choppy cut altogether. He screamed and flailed while she held scissors next to his head and continued to try to cut. You would think someone who works with children and has great reviews on working with autistic kids would have a better grasp and greater patience. She didn’t show him what the spray bottle was before she started drenching him with it. She didn’t allow him to find a self soothing tool before she started. She didn’t even introduce herself! These small things make a very big difference when it comes to dealing with kids on the spectrum. We decided to look Daria up to see any of her other work, or see how long she’s been working with kids. Turns out, at least as far as October of 2024- she was a DOG GROOMER. And not a great one. This leads me to believe this location does not properly vet their hairstylists, and that could easily lead to the demise of their customer base, and potentially serious injuries to CHILDREN. Please proceed with caution when coming to this location, or skip it altogether if you’re smart.
