This place is wonderful. They completed the service on my vehicle in a speedy and professional manner. They were very honest and upfront with the work that needed to be done, and their prices were very fair. They did not try to upsell or overcharge me for anything. Their staff members are all very friendly and helpful. My service advisor, Cherry, was particularly delightful to deal with. I will certainly be coming back again for my next vehicle service.
I brought my 2017 Subaru WRX STI to Right Way Auto Repair Hamilton for an oil change and a full 360° inspection, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were professional, honest, and took pictures and videos to explain everything clearly without trying to upsell or pressure me. The work was done efficiently and I felt confident in the reliability and quality of what was done. It’s hard to find a shop you can truly trust, but Right Way Auto Repair definitely earned my trust. I was really happy to get a booking within the same week following the holidays and everyone I spoke to was very friendly! They were able to diagnose the main issue (water pump needed replacement) but couldn’t verify the extent of the damage to the engine. They had a suspicion based on what they were seeing in the coolant tank although they couldn’t confirm it but were recommending looking into a new vehicle. We asked if they had performed a block test and they said no. As a result, they did reduce the diagnostic fee, which we appreciated, but we are left seeking a more thorough diagnostic before deciding on next steps. *Lana from the shop did reply to my review with more details which were helpful to know as we didn’t receive the same information at the time of pickup. Thank you for the quick and detailed follow-up! I increased my review by a star as a result.
I have mixed feelings but felt it was important to share my experience. Just returned from changing tires at Right Way. I booked the service with them because the auto shop that I usually go to didn’t have any appointments sooner and I really needed to change the tires. First, the service advisor H.J (would use her initials) who assisted me was very courteous and professional. Completely satisfied with the tire change service. It was completed within an hour as advised. So no issues when it came to the car services. However, weird experience when it came to billing. I always check the price of any services when I book over the phone. I was advised that the tire change (tires were on rims) would be $79.99 (same as what I pay at my regular auto shop for tire change). After the service, when I went to pay, I was told my bill (surprisingly) was approximately $134. I told H.J that I was advised on the phone it would be $79.99. The other service advisor sitting next to H.J immediately, and I must say rudely, told me that it’s not possible and I must be quoting price from some other shop I may have called to check for appointments. I firmly said No. H.J checked the invoice for me, advised that an alignment charge was ‘mistakenly’ put on my invoice. She removed it and my total came to $82.45. In this highly competitive industry when there are numerous auto repair shops around to choose from, being rude and accusatory towards your customer without checking mistakes at your end does not help. If not for the rude behaviour from the other service advisor, I would have tried them again. A mistake on their end that could have costed me $52 extra, as well as the rude behaviour from this one person, is something I don’t want to deal with again.
I bought a second hand car and took it to Nuno’s team. They did an excellent job addressing all the issues and bringing it back to OEM condition. I’m happy to have finally found honest mechanics who truly care about their customers while being mindful of their wallets. 100% recommended!
