I have been in the automotive industry for over 20+ years, so I am very critical of facilities such as these. However, I have to say that this is the most impressed I have ever been of any service facility that I have ever worked at or visited. There is simply not a single bad thing I could say about the staff, service, follow up or competency. Keep in mind this is after multiple visits ranging from routine maintenance to a recent breakdown, so our relationship is past the honeymoon phase. Hats off to these guys. Oh, and as far as integrity and pricing; as nieve as she was, I would send my late mother (God rest her soul) by herself to this place and trust that she would not be taken advantage of.

I got an appointment for an oil change and a multi-point inspection with a coupon for $71.50. I was told on the phone to change the synthetic blend to a full synthetic I need to pay an additional $20 which was reasonable. When I got there, they told me the oil change and inspection is going to cost nearly $190!!! This is scam; they waisted my time and they tricked me. Would never go to a place like this anymore. I have scheduled my car service with the actual dealer which is going to cost me round the same range with a courtesy, genuine parts, car wash, snacks and drinks in the waiting area and more. What a waste of time to go to River Oaks Automotive Center.

0 STAR – Feel Scammed and Mentally Distressed! Extremely disappointed! This shop is untrustworthy!! They take advantage of customers by performing unnecessary repairs and leaving the actual problem unresolved! I brought my car here and it’s now in worse condition than before I paid them thousands of dollars. They misdiagnosed the issue and fixed things that didn’t need fixing, just so I’d have to come back and spend more money later. They also promised to have my car done the same day, but I had to call them for updates just for them to informed me right before closing that it wouldn’t be ready. When I contacted them about the ongoing issue, Vince, the manager, refused to take any responsibility and even hung up the phone on me. Instead of standing behind their work, they just kept suggesting I bring the car back so they can “check it again” which means more charges for another “diagnosis.”

Vince and the crew at River Oaks Automotive Center have been taking care of my vehicles for the past few years. I recently purchased a modern classic that needed a few mechanical repairs and some deferred maintenance taken care of. Vince was able to get the vehicle back to me quicker than promised and helped source some parts at a lower cost. A few months later I took the vehicle back for some rust repair and paint work. The repairs for the rust and sheet metal are undetectable and the vehicle looks like it did the day it rolled out the factory. They were able to match the original paint which is now 25 years old perfectly. I’ve been impressed with everything including how well I’ve been treated. I have no problem recommending River Oaks Automotive and already have to several fellow classic car owners.

I’ve been a loyal customer of River Oaks Automotive Center for 6 years, and their service has always been top-notch. From high-quality body work to reliable mechanical repairs, they’ve consistently delivered excellent results. Vince is amazing; he truly goes above and beyond to help and make sure everything is done right. One of the things I appreciate most is that they are honest and fairly priced. You never have to worry about being overcharged or taken advantage of here. It’s hard to find an auto shop you can fully trust, but River Oaks Automotive is that place. Highly recommend!
