Royal Tattoo is hands-down the best tattoo experience I’ve had in Calgary! The shop is super clean, private rooms feel welcoming and comfortable, and the artists are incredibly talented. I walked in for a custom piece and they nailed my vision perfectly, great detail, smooth lines, and spot-on shading. Super friendly staff, no pressure, and solid aftercare advice too. Highly recommend Jesse, whether you’re a first-timer or seasoned, these guys deliver top-tier work every time. 10/10, we will be back for sure!
Went for some new piercings, the place is super clean and the girls at the front were nice and polite. The piercer was an absolute sweetheart, he's patient and knows what he's doing. Recommended changing the piercing location to avoid rejection and I really appreciate that he didn't just do it how I wanted it since it would've been a waste. Prices are the best I've seen so far in the city and the jewelry is included another bonus! This will definitely be my go to!
I’m extremely happy with my experience at Royal Tattoo. Alina did an amazing job. Her line work is very clean and precise, the technique is delicate, and she has such a warm, calm, and reassuring vibe that makes the whole process truly enjoyable. My daughter and I got matching tattoos, and it made the experience even more special for us. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the studio itself is spotless and well organized, which immediately makes you feel comfortable and safe. I would absolutely recommend Royal Tattoo to anyone looking for beautiful work and a great atmosphere.
I have been working with Mariia (@maniticoon_art) to plan my tattoo for a few weeks. I was finally in the shop today for it and it was a phenomenal experience. The shop is so clean and quiet and professional, with tons of space in the rooms. Everything from booking to checking in is such a great experience - everyone who works the front desk is lovely. Now, onto Mariia. She is the loveliest artist I have ever worked with and her work is beyond amazing. How is she not booked months in advance?? Calgary, please show this incredible artist some love!!! This was a memorial piece for me to capture some major losses in my life and she took the inspiration I had for it and elevated it beyond anything I could have asked for. She is so humble and gracious. She will have all of my tattoo business going forward and I suggest you give her yours as well!! Thank you Mariia and thank you Royal for a great experience !
It was my very first tattoo, and I was nervous. But Dave helped to design something I was really happy with, made sure it was exactly what I wanted, in the place I wanted, checking in with me the whole way. He made me feel instantly comfortable and was extremely professional. He was easy to talk to, took great pride in his work, and made my first experience and incredible one. He was very gentle, explained everything, and even brought out chocolates! His work area was impeccable- clean, organized, and everything done with care. After talking about my son who had passed, and everything we had been through, he really was the most compassionate person I think I had ever met. At the end of it, both of us were in tears discussing life, but with such big smiles. He thanked me for letting him be a part of this experience in something that was so meaningful in my life. Highly recommend him — a great human being and wonderful artist!
