Took the time to finally see what this little place is about and while is indeed small, the food is wonderful. Props to the chef for an impressive cacio e pepe. Definitely needed on a cold night like this. I even impressed the bartender with a little singing of Sinatra when his music was playing.
I ordered the daily soup which was tomato ravioli and the brie prosciutto burger. The soup was amazing, I could eat it as an entree (please make that an option haha). It was seriously incredible, so savoury, so tasty, I don’t know what else to say other than if it’s an option as a daily soup, order it!! The burger has bacon as well so it was very savoury and tasty! I do feel it lacked a complexity though..just some cranberries or apples even a jelly of some sort, anything sweet would’ve made the burger perfect, I just felt it lacked a bit there. But I still, recommend it, especially if you love salty and savoury foods! Our waitress was kind! I just feel bad that maybe she might’ve made the garlic aioli and we were letting her know it wasn’t very good. It does taste a bit like garlic and lemon which was nice but it did also taste and smell like ranch. She let us know it wasn’t ranch and it was made in house so i’m sorry if we offended you! It just wasn’t good. I would love to return and explore other options on the menu! I recommend this charming restaurant
We had the spicy Italian pizza (5$ off on tuesday), and the pork tetrazinni along with a calamari starter. The pork tetrazzini is a slow roasted pork belly in a creamy white sauce with spaghetti and Parmigiano cheese. DELICIOUS! The pizza was so full of flavour great sauce, great cheese nice thin crust and cooked to perfection!
Went for dinner with friends on a Friday evening and it was a good experience. Ordered the Seafood Alfredo ($29) and it was okay. The waitstaff let us know this is a newer item, and I think it could use some revision. The pasta was nicely cooked and there was a good array of seafood (mussels, shrimp, scallops). I wish the mussels had been cleaned better because there was sand in a few of them. I also wish the sauce was thicker, it was quite runny and almost a bit soupy. Overall though, it was an okay dish, there was nothing that was spectacular or any wow-factors. The waitstaff, Nicole, was lovely and very understanding. She was very friendly and made sure we had a great time. The overall wait time was quite slow, maybe 25-30 minutes despite the restaurant being only about half full when we went at about 5:30pm.
We stopped to have dinner at this place and it was fantastic! I am celiac and Tina checked all the ingredients of my order with the chef to make sure it’s gluten free. I ordered the Lemon Pesto Salmon, Cesar Salad, and Crème Brûlée and they were all fantastic! I’ll definitely come back to try the gluten free Pizza. Thank you for being so accommodating to my dietary restrictions. ☺️🙌🏻 Photo of veal parm is for my partner. 👌🏻
