I had the BEST experience with Aimee. I recently moved to San Diego and was looking for a new stylist. It was daunting with so many options out there. I was referred to Aimee by a coworker and I have never looked back! I started with black hair so it was quite a project (that other stylists did not want to take on). She lightened me quite a bit and hair is still super healthy (and still look amazing 6 months later)! She is a kind, genuine person and you won't regret booking with her!
As someone out of touch with styles and unsure what works for my mixed hair texture, I walked into the salon 4 months postpartum just needing to feel like I had my spark back. I booked with whoever was available and I’m SO grateful it was Mack. She’s newer to the shop but clearly highly trained and incredibly talented. She specializes in cuts and it really shows! She saw a vision that fit me, not just a trend. The transformation feels life-changing postpartum (IYKYK). I told her I’m low-maintenance and she took her time teaching me multiple ways to style my cut based on my capacity, not just time and energy, but also mental load and money. That level of thoughtfulness means everything. The after photo is literally bedhead and I still feel confident to get up and go. That’s when you know a cut was done well. TLDR: Mack is skilled, intuitive, and truly gifted with haircuts that actually fit you. Go see her!
My favorite salon I’ve been to in San Diego! I’ve been a faithful client to Aimee Reeser for almost a decade now and between hiding my greys, adding highlights, chopping my hair to a very short bob, maintaining healthy grow out, adding extensions, she has done it all for me. Shes honest while also being willing to take risks with me! I feel extremely comfortable with her and will be loyal until the day I die!!!! I could not recommend her enough! 🤗
I've been seeing Emily for my haircut and color, and she is absolutely amazing! I love her personality. She makes it feel like we've been friends for years. She doesn't push products at all, which is very nice. The salon itself is fine. I will say, however, that parking is atrocious. They have a tiny 4 spot lot in the back, which is always full. Other than that it's street parking in a high traffic area. As someone who isn't from here, it's very off-putting, but I guess if you're from here and used to it, it's no big deal.
I really love this place. Super cute, quaint, and chic! In Normal Heights. Stephanie had colored my hair at the time, and it was amazing. They book up super fast. But all stylists are great! Highly recommended
