Update - Came back a year later to the same fantastic experience. Felipe was amazing as usual and this time even went above and beyond with a very cute mini celebration cause it was my birthday! 😍 Highly recommend this place! I recently had a fantastic experience with Felipe at the salon, receiving the DNA hair smoothing treatment. This formaldehyde-free treatment left me impressed. Felipe was patient and reassuring throughout the process, and I appreciate his professionalism and efficiency.
If you are looking for an incredible salon in San Francisco, look no further than Salon DNA Hair. I just had the BEST blowout and the team was so nice! They fit me in before an event and knew exactly how to style my curly hair into a voluminous, gorgeous blowout. I highly recommend Adelice and her entire team. Thank you!
I am sorry to give one star but after reflection feel the need to express how badly I was misquoted when booking the appointment and the poor way it was handled. I was told that the perm for medium long hair would be $195 when I called. Granted this was only an estimation, however when I arrived I was briefly consulted about what I wanted. This would have been the time to properly quote me and yet it was only once my hair had been washed and not even dried that the stylist told me it would be $250 for the perm and $120 for the trim that would be needed. I told him that $300 was my upper limit for the treatment including any tip, and I was pushed into paying $325 at the end. This was over $100 more than I expected to pay. I would have liked more transparency on this matter or at least for the consultation to be explicit before the process begins. The salon is quite nice but I do not think I will be returning because of this practice.
I booked an appointment to have an updo done for the SF symphony gala and I couldn’t happier with overall experience! They were very attentive and cared very much about providing what the client wants. The friendly lady who booked my appointment asked me to send some pictures of updo so the stylist can have some ideas in advance and she even followed up with text to remind me. Luciano the stylist who worked on my hair gave me a beautiful updo exactly what I was looking for!!! This salon will now be my go to when I attend special events in the city.
DNA Salon is very welcoming, CLEAN, and feels like family. I have been going to DNA Salon for over 8 years. Laura Borch is my hairstylist. She’s absolutely delightful. Daniel and Adelice Miller are the sweetest and so hospitable. Liana is very friendly and provides the best experience ever. Love you all so very much!!
