I highly recommend The San Diego Tax Man for all your tax preparation needs! Even though I now live in Los Angeles full-time, I trust Mihn Tra and Dennis O’Connor completely with my taxes. Their remote tax preparation process is seamless, efficient, and stress-free. They are always responsive, professional, and go above and beyond to make sure everything is handled correctly. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my taxes, and I encourage others to have their tax preparation done by them as well. Outstanding service and peace of mind every year!
*Update: Nick's response to my original review just shows how little he knows or cares about his clients. In 2021, for which he completed our taxes (after an extension), we lived full-time in California. It wasn't until 2022 that we moved to Florida and insinuating that we were 'playing the system', just shows his lack of knowledge and general character. Other 'facts' listed in the response are nothing more than twisting what really happened. Simple fact is, based on our experience, Nick just rushes through taxes, which created an opportunity to make a careless mistake (forgetting a W2 form). What's worse is not that he made a mistake, but how he addressed it. He made a major error on simple tax returns, asked us to fix it with the IRS, and got adversarial instead of taking any responsibility -- just like he is doing here. At the end of the day, we had to pay the price. Nick, hope you learn from this instead of continuing to deflect the blame. * I'll keep this short, although I have a lot to say about our recent experience with San Diego Taxman. If you plan to use them, make sure you DO NOT work with Nick. "Unprofessional" and "Careless" don't begin to describe how poorly he handled our personal and corporate tax returns, resulting in massive penalties he failed to take any accountability for. We had a great experience with Dennis years back and he took responsibility and apologized for the way our transaction was handled by Nick. With that said, I felt like it was important to forewarn others not to work with Nick. I'm sure he'll respond to this review - as he did to some others - blaming us for the penalties and calling us horrible clients, but the facts are simply not on his side, and even Dennis (the owner) admitted to it. Save yourself trouble and money, look for another accountant!
San Diego Taxman has been preparing our taxes for a decade. We first went to Dennis when we lived in San Diego, and we love and trust SDTM so much that they still do our tax prep even now that we've moved out of state. Highly recommend their fast, affordable services.

SD Taxman will take good care of you! All employees are vetted and skilled, staying current with changing CA tax laws and ensuring each client is a priority.
