I LOVE this Japanese restaurant! The staff were friendly and helpful and did not wait a second to get us a table. I got the sato ramen (with cooked shrimp and soft egg),the shrimp tempura roll, and the miso caramel donuts. They were amazing! It also has a great ambiance and jazzy music. Highly recommend!
This place was very average ramen restaurant. Our red curry ramen was tasteful, the noodles were also good, but charging $1 for chili paste is kinda weird, most ramen places it's free and on the table. The atmosphere was fine. Biggest issue was one of our Ramens came out cold, like not warm, but cold. They did remake it which was appreciated but it ruined the whole dining experience because one of us had to eat while the other waited. The highlight was the sake flights, and the server was very kind. This place could probably get to four or five stars with some improved kitchen management and a readjustment of some business practices or prices. The cost did not match the quality of the ramen in my opinion.
This was an off experience for me, I wouldn't recommend it. What I did like was the sake flights, great flavors of both traditional and fruited sake. What I didn't like what the ramen. I LOVE ramen and was looking forward to this place, however the Tonkatsu bowl that I ordered arrived cold and the noodles were still clumped together. My husbands bowl was a great temperature. I asked for it to be reheated, this evidently caused frustration in the kitchen that could be heard out in the dining room. It was a Friday night that we went and they were out of a number of things, including Chicken Katsu, ALL red wine, and their "Spicy Bomb" ramen add on. The spicy bomb is where I had issue, unlike all ramen establishments, they did not offer chili oil/paste at the table so this was the add on for it. I bought that add on and added it to my ramen before realizing it was cold. That was their 'last one' so I didn't get it in my new bowl. The table next to me I noticed was offered chili paste for free, I still got charged. I've been to hundreds of restaurants and if I could go back I wish I would have walked around the neighborhood a bit and gone to Wasabi instead (just across the street) for a less "Trendy" restaurant.
Sato Ramen may be a “hyped” restaurant, but it certainly doesn’t live up to the reputation. We arrived at 6:00 PM and there were already no tables available, so we were seated at the counter. It took nearly 15 minutes before a server even approached us, and friendliness was definitely not part of the service. The music was loud and completely out of sync with the restaurant’s theme. The dishes took a long time to arrive, and nothing stood out in terms of flavor. The Japanese curry shrimp was extremely spicy—so much so that I couldn’t even finish it. Overall, a very disappointing experience. The food quality, ambiance, and service were all poor, yet the prices were far above what the restaurant delivers. I do not recommend it!
The food was fantastic, the miso tasted home made and they did not skimp on the tofu and the salmon carpaccio was so fresh! For a main I got the gyudon and it is arguably the best I’ve had in the area. The atmosphere was very chill and the music was not loud in any way. Overall one of the best Japanese style restaurants I’ve been to yet.
