As a family of both classically-trained and working music industry professionals, I have to say we were disappointed with the Rock 101 program. My daughter was enrolled for two "seasons" and during her time there we observed: - my daughter being placed in a "band" with up to four(!!!) drummers, zero guitar players, and zero vocalists. - students of greatly varying skill levels being expected to perform together, some after clearly not getting enough instruction on their instrument. It seems that there should be some kind of trial period to ensure a student actually has a basic level of comfort with their instrument before throwing them onstage and embarrassing them. My daughter could already somewhat play her instrument when we joined, yet multiple members of her band had never held an instrument before. That's unfair to everyone in the group. - more than one instance of a student literally miming playing their instrument on stage, while other bandmates sat out entire songs. - students being placed on instruments/parts they were not at School Of Rock to study (my daughter, a drummer, was placed on vocals more often than drums). - nearly $400 per month for 2 hours per week of class time (plus $75 per "show", plus scheduling these shows at venues that require $20 parking) is honestly absurd. The house band and advanced groups had some really talented kids and were lots of fun to watch at shows, but the Rock 101 program -- which is what's seemingly advertised as their flagship service -- needs some serious work.

My kid has gone from not knowing how to play an instrument, to playing drums, guitar, and singing. He has only been playing drums for about 6 months and he is incredible! School of rock really knows how to work with children, all the way to adults. Their concerts are fun and the whole staff treat you like family

School of Rock FTW has become a second home for our son. He's grown as a musician and earned a spot in All Stars 2023. Great management (Kate) and instructors. The music director (Alex) is great as well. We drive an hour one way to drop our kiddo off for practice and are happy to do it. That says a lot. The programs for young kiddos are remarkable. I can't say enough positive things about School of Rock FTW. If you've been thinking about picking up an instrument and want to rock, give them a call.

Hands down one of the best places I feel to get vocal lessons. As an adult who had no experience, I obviously was nervous about lessons, since most other places around here are for children. Was paired with my first instructor and she was very nice. She left about a month into my lessons and I got Will as my instructor and he is FABULOUS. I feel like my voice can grow a lot with him. Staff is always super nice and accommodating, atmosphere is very welcoming. A bit more expensive than other places nearby but TOTALLY worth it in my opinion.
