Very welcoming atmosphere! Was able to get a seated quickly to have our son’s haircut. The stylist was amazing with how she was able to work with my 2 1/2 year-old. He wasn’t squirrelly but whenever he had a moment like any other two-year-old, she had a very calm demeanor and was willing to work with him. Definitely recommend going here!
I am so disappointed. When coming to the shop I had put down on notes that my son had a sensory issue and sitting still for long periods of times would be a problem. When meeting the stylist Nanette we again explained that he didn't do well with haircuts and he hadn't gotten clippers done, barely being able to sit with scissors. She told us that since he didn't sit well for either that clippers would be faster to finish. When asking me how long we would like it we said that we would like just a little trim and to keep it long. I asked she follow his swirl because his hair isn't able to stay styled. She said she understood so we continued. Off the bat she gets the clippers and buzzes straight through his hair and me and dad are in shock. She never once stopped and allowed my son to calm down instead rushing us to hold him so she could finish. I wouldn't even be so mad that it wasn't at all sensory inclusive like advertised but me and dad kept expressing his hair was getting cut too short but she kept explaining that she was blending it in but the blend never came. I walked out knowing my son had a bad haircut and will now have even more regression with allowing people to cut his hair.
I had my appointment time mistaken, and they moved it with no hesitation since I was on the way! The price is reasonable considering they give you a keepsake for a first hair cut! Nanette was super sweet to my princess!
Took both of my daughters for a haircut. My youngest daughter’s hair came out great and that’s the only reason for the 2 stars, so no issue there. My older daughter wanted layers and some tinsel added to her hair, the cut was okay, but not what I asked for at all. I was told the tinsel would last months, and it fell out before she went to bed the same day she got it added in. Save your money and go somewhere else. The idea of the store is nice, but in reality everything kind of seems run down and hectic.
My 5-year-old has been terrified of getting her hair cut, so I usually do it myself at home. We have been to one other place before and have not been successful at getting her to sit in the chair. This place is amazing! She sat through her first haircut and did not cry or whine a bit. In fact, she LOVED it! They treated her like a princess and were patient and gentle throughout the entire process. I did not feel rushed or under pressure because she was not cooperating initially. I can't recommend them enough! They also had a large toy selection to reward (and bribe) her for allowing the nice ladies to cut and style her hair. 10 out of 10!
