My family and I went to Shelmerdine’s for our Santa photos last night, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff greeted us warmly while we waited, making us feel welcome and excited. Santa and Mrs. Claus were incredible — friendly, patient, and truly magical. Everything about the visit felt special. We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday moment. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable Santa photo experience! 10/10!! 🎅✨
A friend of mine who has shopped here many times invited me to come because the clothing selection is so lovely. I have to agree with her. The selection was great. I picked out an outfit and while we were chatting, they said that they had a sale starting in two days. I live a long way from Shelmer’s. I asked if I could have it in advance because it is very difficult for me to get back there, they said impossible. My friend knew how much I like the outfit so she insisted on taking me back on the sale day. Upon arriving, I found a jacket I liked as well when I asked them if there was any way they could get another size in. They looked at me disdainfully and said spring is what’s coming in. Now we cannot get fall anymore. I then proceeded to ask for a price adjustment on the one that I had bought two days earlier because the sale was on I was told They do not do price adjustments. Therefore, I asked to return it and re-purchase it. I was told that when items are returned, they do not go back into stock for at least a couple of days so that would be impossible, but I could return it for a credit. I asked the clerk why they make it so difficult to shop in their store. She intimated that I was the difficult one and I didn’t understand how things worked. I have been in sales my entire life. I do know how things work and I know that the customer experience is the most important thing I said to her I hope that she understood that losing one customer like myself meant they’d have to bring on five new customers to make up for the loss that would be generated out of mine specifically word-of-mouth. I would not shop in the store even though I love to support local and I would not recommend them to anyone.
My Wife+I, were at Shelmerdine's Today. Your Greenhouse Worker (Chris)..Was Exceptional ! So helpful, professional. We required, 6 Perennials. Her Suggestions, were "Spot On". Purchased: White Blazing Star, Heliopsis(Summer Eclipse), Bee Balm(Coral Reef). Can hardly wait,,,to see, Our new...Additions...In Our Perennial Bed.
Great place to come with friends, kids or even your dog, browse around and enjoy beautiful colours of nature. Grab a coffee, sit around fish pond and relax. Lots to see, neat and unique assortment of goods. Beautiful smell of nature plants. Love the place.
