Bought three bottles. One was okay, one was a little off, and one had clearly been spoiled for a long time as the cork had no structural integrity. Do not buy here.
Amazing wine store with an impeccably curated selection at terrific prices. I bought a 1986 gewurztraminer and 1995 Barolo for less than 100 a bottle, both were perfect condition. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and I never go to Bloomsbury without a trip to the Shrine!
What a lovely shop! Really excellent, well thought through selection of wine; so you’re covered from the cheaper, weirder alt-natty end of things, up to classic French and Italian stuff that’s a couple of hundred quid. It’s intelligently laid out, with plenty of space so not overwhelming at all. Bonus points for smelling so nice (there’s an Aesop shop next door).
