Every person has a particular Barber that they prefer when they walk into a barbershop, For me that person is ‘Odai’. This spot is By far the most impressive barbershop in DC. I am a big Fan of smaller family owned businesses. I am a business owner myself in Maryland. I moved to DC a year ago. I do not just go to the closest barbershop On my street. It took some searching, but everything considered, This was the best option For me. I don’t mind the drive if I can guarantee a professional cut From very likable and friendly people. I have to wear the hair on my head every day after a haircut 😅 The last thing I want is to have a bad haircut walking out. I never have to worry about that here. Also, I know the names of every single stylist. And the same goes for them, They know about me and my wife. Why? Because immediately when you walk you are welcomed with an atmosphere that invites positive energy & good conversation. When you walk in here, You arent just coming to get your haircut. You’re walking into an experience.
Odai was my barber and he gave me a great cut. My hair was long and shaggy and he still kept my mullet form and left layers and length to compliment my more textured hair. It was enjoyable talking to him and Lena and I left feeling myself because of their positive energy and great conversation. I also got good advice on how often to condition, shampoo and what to do to preserve the moisture in my hair to keep my curls better defined.
Such an amazing place the vibe was spectacular. I have never felt so comfortable being around brand new people then my experience. My son got his first haircut and he was so comfortable he was very happy and excited His new barber Juan was very patient and kind the hospitality from everyone was amazing from Mama at the front door to the Beautiful barber mama laughing at me shedding tears about my My Baby getting his first haircut…. Any how I just want to say thank you so much for allowing us to share space with you all and the opportunity for my son to really enjoy have a his first experience be the best experience at a barbershop we can’t wait to come back
