I had a truly disappointing experience with Simply Taxes. After a decent experience with them in 2023, I returned for my 2024 taxes, expecting professionalism and expertise. Unfortunately, Jennifer, who isn’t a CPA, provided incorrect information about my taxes and seemed unprepared. She didn’t ask the right questions, made huge mistakes about my property, and gave wildly inconsistent numbers about what I owed or could expect as a return. When I reached out to Erin, the owner, for help, she didn’t address my concerns at all. Instead, she defended Jennifer and dismissed me. Worse, when I said I’d take my business elsewhere, Erin deleted my entire file immediately while I was still on the phone with her! When I requested my 2023 tax documents, Erin sent them with key pages missing — clearly trying to cover something up. When I asked about it she said "I did not leave it out on purpose. It didn't print with the return." Definitely a LIE, she was hoping I didn't notice. For the record I did give them CORRECT information, Erin wants to blame me and H&R block for errors. but H&R Block did my 2022 taxes and Erin did my 2023 taxes so, if there was an error I guess she didn't catch it and now wants to blame me and H&R block instead of taking accountability or even fixing the problem. You would think this place was good based off the reviews, which is why I'm sharing my experience. If you want a trustworthy and honest tax person, do not go here. I'm sure Erin will gaslight me again and shift the blame to me or give excuses in response to my review, but I wouldn't expect anything more because that's what she does best. This lack of accountability, professionalism, and honesty is concerning. It feels like they’re more interested in avoiding responsibility than providing quality service. I would not recommend Simply Taxes to anyone.

As a financial professional, I come across many accounting firms and CPAs and many people ask me who I use for my own tax and accounting needs. It's an easy answer...I use Simply Taxes. Why is this my choice? Responsiveness and comprehensive knowledge are key to keeping in compliance with all tax laws and regulations. Erin and her staff are the best I have come across at giving me smart guidance and helping make sure that I pay only what I must pay. Further, I have almost never come across someone who I have referred to Erin who has come back to me and said they were anything other than thrilled with her kind approach, her integrity, and her expertise.
