I'm extremely disappointed with our recent experience at Skyzone. What was meant to be a fun birthday celebration for my young cousin turned into a nightmare when older, unsupervised kids began deliberately targeting younger children in dodgeball. Despite my concerns, staff did nothing to stop the behavior, and my cousin ended up getting hit in the face. This place needs serious changes – age-appropriate activities, attentive staff, and responsible parents – to prevent future incidents. Birthday party was ruined we will not be returning. .
I’m giving Sky Zone Chula Vista 3 stars because I really like this place and my kids love coming here. It’s a great place for them to burn energy, have fun, and enjoy themselves, which is why we’ve been coming for over a year. That said, I am increasingly concerned about the cleanliness of the facility. Over time, it has gotten noticeably worse. The place often looks dirty, and for a kids’ environment—especially one where children are running, falling, and touching everything—this is worrying. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because this location has a lot of potential. With better and more consistent cleaning, it would be an excellent place for families. We want to keep coming back, but cleanliness and hygiene really need to improve.
I visited Sky Zone on October 21st and purchased a membership for my daughters, paying around $80. The employee asked me clearly whether I wanted the regular or the special membership, and I chose the special one. When I came back a week later, the front desk told me we don’t have any membership. Later I found out that the employee had changed my purchase from a membership to jump hours, nearly the same price, and without my permission. When I told them: “You can check the cameras to confirm what happened,” they responded: “We cannot review the cameras.” This is fraud, because the payment went through, the transaction was altered without my approval, and my daughters were denied entry. I hope management takes this seriously, because what happened is completely unacceptable.
Play area was much smaller than expected. Limited seating for parents and very uncomfortable chairs. Only 3 party rooms with tight seating there as well. The staff is quick to kick you out of the party rooms. Takes forever to get you into them though. While we were waiting for ours, the kids were able to play. They all got thirsty and we had to buy them water bottles since it was still not party time so no food or beverages included yet. The water bottles were $4 each! On the plus side, the pizza was tasty. Not experience was not what I expected.
It was very clean and the staff in charge made great effort to ensure the children were playing safely. Amanda went above and beyond to ensure my son was doing well. She was so kind and caring. Thank you again Amanda! 😊
