We are on holidays to Gold Coast, first time in smokehouse meat & co, in a search for wagyu steakhouse with good reviews. We actually wanted the eye fillet, which was not available, so, we can an alternative cut, very tender, me and my husband loved it. Roasted potato was ok, but the chips and garlic bread were great. Good portions. Good price Nice staff Lovely atmosphere in downtown. Highly recommend.
We had one of the best experiences here! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. The food was absolutely delicious & perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was fantastic. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday here & the staff brought the cake out right on time, which made the moment even more special. Everyone was incredibly friendly & attentive. We loved everything about this restaurant & whenever we visit the Gold Coast again, we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for anyone! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If flavour was a personality, this place is the main character. Dropped into Smokehouse Meat & Co and honestly? I was not prepared for how good everything was. We kicked things off with the garlic prawns and halloumi bruschetta — and let me tell you, those prawns were swimming in butter like they were living their best life. The halloumi? Crispy, melty, salty perfection. I could’ve eaten it as a main and still been happy. Then the king prawns and lamb cutlets with rosemary potatoes came out… and LOOK — whoever is on that grill deserves a raise and maybe a holiday. The prawns were massive and packed with flavour, and those lamb cutlets? Charred on the outside, juicy on the inside, and proudly giving “you’re welcome” energy. The potatoes slapped too. Cocktail-wise, we had a Tequila Sunrise and a mango cocktail (the one on their menu — I forgot the name because I was too busy enjoying it). Both were colourful, refreshing, and went down way too easily. And shoutout to Faith, who was absolutely lovely — attentive without hovering, bubbly without forcing it, basically the type of service every restaurant wishes they had. If you’re thinking about going — go. If you’re not thinking about going — start. Smokehouse Meat & Co = 10/10, would eat again, would recommend to strangers in the street, would plan a whole trip around.
Food was outstanding. Ordered the steak on bone with chips. Steak was cooked to perfection just how I asked. And my goodness the chips it self were magnificent. Service was great a friendly and managed to find a table for us as walk-in. Will recommend.
The food here is so good! Me and my mate have a lunch here, and we think that this is the most delicious meal we’ve ever had in Australia. Ribs are cooked just soft but not mushy, and the flavor is really unique.
