The work Tracy did was excellent and reasonably priced. We had all kinds of repairs to do (scratch repairs, filling holes in walls, caulking, etc) and he did a really great job. We are happy with the results and will not hesitate to contact him again in the future!
In December 2025, we engaged Tracy Smith (South Shore Handy Man Inc) to perform the following activities at our home: 1) Dry wall report (job botched by previous Handyman whom we had to fire). 2) Paining of entire basement (ceiling and wall). 3) Paining and patching of stairwell leading upstairs from basement. The estimated price-point was competitive. Tracy was amazingly professional, deliberate, diligent, clean and thorough. The work was done on-time (as estimated). We are very satisfied with the outcome. We are also impressed with the fact that Tracy brought to our attention some drywall repair anomalies delivered by the previous handyman. although it cost us a bit more money, we were delighted that Tracy made us aware of the issue. We are happy to found Tracy Smith and have already recommended him to others. We would hire Tracy again with any hesitation, of course.
Mr. Smith is a very professional contractor. We needed a deck extension to new pool as well as a fence on deck with gate - to comply with Provincial law. Also, possible reinforcement under the deck. Mr. Smith went above and beyond the call to create a beautiful extension (little step) and built a fence/gate (from scratch) - his work is truly exceptional! He also discovered that the deck was lower in one area and replaced an existing post - to stabilize the whole deck. We are very happy with the work he did - and highly recommend him! Thank you Mr. Smith!
Tracy has fixed my deck. the deck sagged in the central portion,and needed two/three supports to bring it up staright. Tracy has done a very good job. He brought all the materials at my request,and did a very clean job. He is definitely worth having around for any work around the house.
We had a great experience working with Trace. He did a couple of jobs for us: 1. He removed an old closet we had in our main bedroom. (The new closet was built by us) 2. And the biggest job was removing a fireplace we had in the basement, including sealing the hole for the duct. We found some mold on the wall and had to treat it (with a separate company). After that, Trace installed the two corner walls we had to remove due to the mold (Painting was done by us). The fire place was installed on a slab of concrete that he had to break down. Few pictures are shown of before and after I fully recommend Trace’s work. We will work with him again in the near future.
