I injured my right knee a few months ago and my OJI Doctor referred me to Southland Physical Therapy. I am hopefully nearing the end of my rehabilitation journey at Sourhland PT—and a return to work—and the therapy that I have received there has been outstanding. I haven’t experienced PT in over 23 years so I had forgotten how effective it could be in the rehabilitation of an injury. Physical therapist Gabriel Hernandez expertly crafted a plan to strengthen my knee and to facilitate the improvement in flexibility, strength, and confidence that I didn’t have 3 weeks ago. The other supportive Physical Therapists—too many to name—were equally proficient and supportive and guided me throughout the process. Moreover, the home strengthening exercises were also instrumental in my improvement. It’s never a good thing getting injured on the job and being off work. However, it’s great to know that if I ever find myself in this situation again, Southland Physical Therapy will be there to pick me right back up.
I had an amazing experience at Southland Physical Therapy. I was having severe left shoulder pain that had become debilitating and was radiating down my left arm. I couldn't even put on a jacket by myself and washing my hair became torturous with the left arm. My PCP recommended physical therapy and I chose Southland Physical for its rave reviews and availability. My physical therapist was Sami Jamil and I was impressed by his knowledge, client-centered approach, and eagerness to help improve my quality of life. I had severe left shoulder tendonitis. My husband and I were both impressed by how much Sami thought outside the box. For example, he asked me to demonstrate what I did at work (I'm a nurse) that caused pain in my left arm and he created a physical therapy program to strengthen those areas of concern through a "mock recreation". It's hard to explain in words, but it worked! I went from doing bands to working with weights and my colleagues even noticed the difference at work, remarking that physical therapy has really helped me. In addition, everyone is so kind there. I had a wonderful rapport with all the PT aids who were diligently invested in my healing journey, encouraging and inspiring me to keep going. I was very fortunate to have such an awesome team to work with and I will miss them all very much. I encourage anyone who is thinking about doing physical therapy to give Southland Physical Therapy a call. It's definitely worth it!
A Recovery Journey Worth Celebrating After major neck surgery, I specifically requested Southland Physical Therapy by name—and they exceeded every expectation. This facility became my path back to full conditioning, and I'm grateful for every session. What struck me immediately was the diversity of the patient community: athletes training for competition, working professionals recovering from injuries, people of all ages united by one thing—a willingness to do the work. That environment itself became motivating. The entire team deserves recognition. Every therapist and PTA brought expertise and genuine care to their work. The operational excellence impressed me too: reminders arrived the day before appointments, they consistently ran on time despite high volume, and every interaction came with a smile. A special acknowledgment to Conner, who balanced knowledgeable instruction with the perfect level of challenge. Each week, he pushed me just beyond what I'd accomplished the week before—exactly what I needed to progress. Beyond physical recovery, Southland reminded me of something essential: how to stay positive regardless of the challenges we face. That lesson extends far beyond the treatment room. If you're willing to put in the work, this is where you want to be.
I have only been to one appointment, but my first impression was excellent. Very clean and modern facility with what looks like a good selection of equipment. My PT Doctor is very knowledgeable, friendly, and seems like she will be great to work with. Added 11/6/25: So far so good, gaining strength and recovering well from my surgery. Added 11/16/25: They are doing a great job of building strength back into my legs and abdominal / core. Everyone at the facility is knowledgeable and professional.
I have two weekly appointments with PT Connor who is fantastic. He is really helping me recover from a pinched nerve. Vincent supervises my exercises which are crucial and produce much needed relief. I worked with another PT practice and had no success at all. All staff is attentive, and all clients seem to be very happy with the wonderful care they are receiving.
