I’m a local and was told Spa Oceana was not worth the hype and unfortunately, that advice was spot on. I paid nearly $300 for a spa service that was far below average and incredibly disappointing. The massage itself felt rushed and ineffective. The therapist spent more time walking around the room and preparing hot towels than actually providing hands-on massage. There was very little pressure (I paid for deep tissue) or consistency, and it did not feel therapeutic or relaxing. I also paid for an add-on service, which was equally disappointing. The scalp treatment lasted no more than five minutes and felt like an afterthought rather than a premium enhancement. For the price point, I expected a much higher level of professionalism, attentiveness, and value. Sadly, this experience did not come close to justifying the cost, and I would not recommend Spa Oceana based on my visit.
We had a couples massage and we both thought it was fantastic!! We have different styles. He had Swedish with Cory (sorry about spelling) and said it was possibly best massage ever. I had more of a therapeutic massage-deep tissue with Carleen. Maybe was my best ever as well. We highly recommend!!!
I’ve been to this spa before and had wonderful experiences. Unfortunately this one wasn’t so wonderful. I felt that the staff was way too intrusive in the womens locker areas. I booked my service online to get the best pedicure that had a hefty price tag but I thought it would be worth it. I saw no difference between the standard ocean pedicure. I’m a local and love treating myself to the Don Cesar Spa Oceana but this time I was very disappointed. Also I was told that the paraffin treatment wasn’t supposed to be included and that the description online doesn’t match what is supposed to be done. I was given the paraffin treatment but they said I wasn’t supposed to. Very disappointed overall. My pedicure didn’t feel luxurious like it has in the past. Very disappointed
My daughter and I had such great time today at the spa at Don Cesar! We had pedicures and it was luxurious. From the time we checked in with Lindsey and Katie to the time we left after having great service from Victoria and Amy - we couldn’t be more happy! Thank you so much for such a great experience! We are locals and we decided to treat ourselves and we were not disappointed. I am celebrating a 30th wedding anniversary, and Lindsay surprised us with a couple glasses of rosé. Also, we were able to utilize the property after the spa services, including covering our valet fees. We will be back :-) TY!!
If you haven’t been here yet, don’t wait! Make sure you spend the full day at The Don to get the full experience. They were able to tailor a special birthday package with custom facial, deep tissue massage and bath. The services were incredible with a beautiful ocean view. You have access to the roof top for the full day of your service, showers, steam room, their private beach with chairs and spa. I was given a complimentary glass of champagne for my birthday which was a nice touch. I also loved that they validated parking for the full day. I order lunch and drinks directly on the beach. The only thing I would suggest is to move the Whisper Lounge area as it’s right in front of the elevators and was noisy when people and spa staff were coming in and out. Did not feel private and wasn’t relaxing for me in that area.
