Can’t say enough positive things - as I told Rickey (manager/owner) - you guys made us sound a lot better than we are! We’re nobodies in the music industry, a bunch of 50+ older guys , recording a song to celebrate my wife and my 34th anny. Their equipment is top shelf, big studio, our keyboard player used their baby grand and our drummer used their kit. Matt, the sound engineer? One of us has recorded a few times and he said Matt “did magic” with our tracks , he’s a Grammy nominated sound engineer and he outta be. He also was gracious and mellow with us, he really improved our sound and yah he plays about 145, well, call it 4 instruments so he “gets” the music and mixing worlds. It was a great experience - Very thankful for their work, expertise and attitude.
Had a great time… Studio 713 - Houston is tucked away and “secure”… right off the freeway. This studio had several suites, privacy and kitchenette(s) with the tea and coffee your heart desires, and drug to store your food. There are several little spots to walk to around the corner: a bodega, a cafe, club, a couple of restaurants. If you need to fuel up, know that gas stations are about 2 - 3 miles away. We had rentals. This would be important, if we stayed more than a few days. My client enjoyed working with Geo, the engineer. Geo has a great ear for dynamics and he is a great listener.
