This beautiful corner store is quite large and verdantly packed with a huge passion for love of plants. the owners truly take such pride in their care for plants of all types and providing plant artist and other local vendors a space to share and enjoy the community. they will talk you through plants if you have questions and they do offer shipping through their store and other pages! If you are a Cactus or succulent lover... definitely reach out to them! You'll leave happy you did.
Super friendly & chill owners who are always happy to help and provide their knowledge. Great selection of happy plants with a focus on succulents, cacti, n such. Also, a nice selection of good gifts and other fun items as well to check out! I love my Lincoln Park Zoo Philodendron thanks again Tim for pointing this bad boy out for me! I got it upsizing nicely on a moss pole now 🌱

Picked up this Adenia Glauca from Sunnyside! They have a great collection houseplants, cacti and succulents. One of the best plant shops in the city if you’re looking for something unique. They also have a huge selection of pots, soil, soil amenities, insecticides, and pretty much anything you’ll need for growing at home. Ann & Tim are kind, knowledgeable, and supportive! Thanks for all the tips.
This is my first Google Review ever. Everyone should know about Sunnyside Plants on N. Miwaukee in Chicago. My wife and I are newbies to managing cactus and succulent plants in our home. We bought a cactus from Tim & Ann at the Cactus Show at Chicago Botanic Garden this past July. This week I went to their shop. It was a very different experience from buying at the Big Box home stores. Tim & Ann are outgoing people who are passionate about all kinds of plants. Before I went to the shop, I emailed them a photo of our small collection of cactuses and succulents. At the shop, they had already looked closely at the photo and had identified many of our plants. They showed me a variety of plants that would thrive in our western-exposure conditions. Ultimately I took home a Euphorbia decaryi and a Mammillaria krameri, both potted nicely with attractive top dressing. And, this might seem like a small matter, but Sunnyside Plants has a wide variety of pots and saucers. This is important, if one wants to present one's plants to their best advantage. Finally, Tim gave me some great advice on caring for our plants through the winter months. My wife and I will definitely look forward to going back to see Tim & Ann for advice and inspiration (and more plants).
