We enjoyed our time on the water. A small group of four of us have been kayaking together for many year's. Overall this trip was fun. The kayaks were clean and the right size for adult's of all abilities. We were able to get around easily. Don't forget to bring a map. I love maneuvering through the mangroves to see all of the wildlife in it's environment. The scarlet Ibis's were a treat to see along with all of the other beautiful bird's. I also saw a stunning sea turtle. If I had stayed quiet, I probably would have seen him longer. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Our family has been costumers at Sunrise Surf Shop for 10 years. We have always had thr best experience with them. This visit we shopped and also rented a 7ft foam board for my niece who is a beginner. The rates are incredibly reasonable and they even helped with strap it to the top of our Sudan. It was Ellies first time on a board and she killed it, thank you to everyone at the shop!!
A great venue for kayaking. An easy paddle across a small protected cove takes you inside a wonderland of small canals through mangroves. The experience is very relaxing and the play of light and shadows in the canopied narrow canals is surreal. There is abundant marine habitat life all around you and the water is clear and shallow in many areas for you to see it. The facilities are rustic but adequate with shaded picnic tables, bathroom and even a shower. You can rent kayaks, go on a guided tour or bring your own and pay $5 to launch in the convenient launching area. The fee is well worth it considering the easy access to this unique and ideal kayaking location.
Amazing experience. Charles had our kayak and paddle board all ready to go when we arrived! And we were thirty minutes early! It was a super easy process he showed us the map and even made sure my maps app had a pin 📌 to make it easy for us to return! They had showers to rinse off and even a bathroom! Highly recommend. We went on a Monday morning and we felt like the only ones out on the water. It was gorgeous. (: Will rent again next time
My family and I really enjoyed our kayak adventure at Fort Pierce Inlet State Park! It was a perfect day and we had a blast on the sandbar, exploring the mangroves, and enjoying the wildlife! The two hour timeframe was perfect as was the price but we honestly could’ve stayed out all day. Highly recommend and would go back again should we ever be in the area in the future!
