Doctor Paul Wehby is the best pediatrician ever!!!!! Very knowledgeable and experienced! God has gifted him this knowledge of understanding kids illnesses. He has been the family’s pediatrician for over 27 years!! I recommend him 100%.
Dr.Awa and Dr.Whebe are AMAZING best pediatricians I have ever encountered. Dr.Whebe even comes to the hospital when you deliver. Specifically on those two doctors they deserve 10 stars. The office staff and the new Dr. hessler is where my 2 star rating comes in. To transition back to the office after moving out of state for a year was a nightmare I waited 11 days before they had “time” to fax over the records request. Once they received the records they had to review them and made me wait another 5 days before I could schedule an appointment. I spoke to the office e manager who ASSURED me I would have Dr.Awa however when the office staff called to schedule she said awa wasn’t taking new patients and I had to have Dr hessler even though my kids were not new patients and had been patients of Dr.awa for 5 years. I had my first appointment this morning at 1030 with Dr hessler who did not listen to anything I was saying. He stopped my son’s meds that he has been on since 2021. He changed his other prescription from instant release to extended. I spoke to the office on the way out and they assured me Dr awa would call me before the end of the day to discuss the abrupt changes to my sons medication. (I miss Dr hussan who used to prescribe the medications) I called the office THREE times throughout the day just making sure that Dr. Whebe or awa would call before the end of the day and not the doctor we saw that we will not ever be seeing again. All THREE times they assured me Dr.Awa would be the one to call me. At 5:51 DR.hessler calls me and I explain I’m not sure why he changed my sons medication and he shouldn’t just stop it he should at least be weaned off and he tells me he will have Dr. awa call me. It’s now 7:14pm and I’m certain no one will call and I will have to call in the morning or physically go there. I can’t stress enough that the Dr. Awa annd Whebe are amazing and before I left I had NEVER had a problem in the office and highly recommend them. EDIT; Dr awa called me at 805pm. He truly is the best. I changed to a 4 star instead of a 2 because I can’t rave about awa and Whebe enough and they make the practice amazing. Hands down best pediatricians in the state.
We have been going to this clinic for ten years! The staff is really friendly and they always provide the best care for my kids. We love dr Paul and Dr Awa
I have gone here since I was a teen. Through all these years, this office has been very hit or miss in terms of service. For smaller things such as minor ailments and routine healthcare, they’ve been competent enough. In when it comes to actual issues (such as when they couldn’t diagnose textbook symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome and simply told me, an active college student, to “stop writing, texting, and typing”) and properly communicating with a patient, I could not say the same. I have not received any phone call, email, or warning that I was no longer considered a patient at this office. Granted I am over 21 now, but they had been granting my refills and giving me calls, and billing me up until this point. No one ever told me that the doctor seeing me, Hasan Razi, had moved out of state several months ago. I had to find out this week when I reached out to the Sunshine Pediatrics office. It took my pharmacy being unable to provide me with my medication to find out this office was no longer taking me. I have not had my medication for almost a week now, and the withdrawals (which I was never warned about at the time of prescription) have been debilitating. These medications are for my behavioral health and essential for not just my daily functioning, but my personal safety. It would have been a great help if this office had simply bothered to get in contact with me when they denied the pharmacy my refills, as I would have been able to arrange finding a new prescriber before my medications ran out. I have had a myriad of issues with this office, but the withdrawals as a parting gift has highlighted one of my major issues with this office. If this office doesn’t bother to read anything else, I ask that you please improve your communication with your patients, especially when it is about their prescriber leaving and no longer considering them a patient. It could make the difference between someone having access to important medicine and not.
Dr.Wehbe had been my family’s pediatrician for over 25 years. I couldn’t have picked a better provider for my family. Sunshine Pediatrics has always been accommodating, responsive, and attentive to my family’s health care needs. Before having children I’ve always heard other parents stories of having to sit in ER waiting rooms for hours, because their children’s pediatricians didn’t offer an answering service after hours, for what appeared to be a non-emergent issue. I didn’t want to have that problem, unless it was an emergency. Thanks to Dr.Wehbe and Sunshine Pediatrics and four children later with the oldest child now twenty-five and the youngest being six. My children received excellent care and we’re grateful to have only visited the ER four times in twenty-five years.
