I had an incredible experience at this Hawthorne tattoo studio in Portland. My artist was an absolute dream to work with — she understood my vision instantly and transformed it into a piece of artwork I’m genuinely proud to wear. Her communication, creativity, and calm confidence made the whole process easy and enjoyable. You can tell the owners truly care about what they do and about the people who work with them. The shop itself is cozy, light-filled, spotless, and honestly a plant lover’s paradise. It has that rare mix of professional and welcoming that puts you at ease the second you walk in. If you’re looking for a Portland tattoo shop that delivers top-tier artistry and a great overall experience, this is the one. Highly recommend.
Incredibly kind and patient artists! My family and I got matching tattoos on a walk-in day and the experience was amazing. Be prepared to wait during walk-in days as these are pretty popular. Ambiance was nice, they have free snacks and water, a comfy waiting room, and a clean bathroom w/ hygiene products. Great place to get a first tattoo :). Thank you Sarah and Sham!!
I love my tattoo by Sierra Luna! She gave me exactly what I was hoping for and the experience was excellent. She was very responsive! She met with me for a consult a couple of months before the tattoo and drew a sketch of the tattoo design while we talked. On the day of the tattoo, she showed me the design and was totally open to a few small changes - only a small change was needed since she had done such a good job of listening to what I wanted. The tattooing itself went very well. She was very focused and has excellent technique. She was great about me taking short breaks during the process. The tattoo healed perfectly with no problems at all. I am planning to return to Sierra for my next tattoo!
Sarah is an amazing artist. Her attention to detail is exceptional. I've got a few tattoos from her so far and all were exactly what I envisioned. Especially my dog Tootsie which is perfect. You can see how she translated the picture in amazing detail. I'm working on an arm and leg sleeve with her currently and they're both going to be amazing as well. The shop is great, very clean and professional. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.
Really enjoyed my experience at Tattoo 34, specifically my experience with Sierra. She was kind and thoughtful, and let me have a silent appointment with my noise canceling headphones. 🤓 My first session was smooth and I'm looking forward to my second! Also, the interior of the building is such a good vibe.
