I took my 2012 VW bug to Tenleytown Automotive for its regular maintenance because most of my neighbors take their cars there. I was pleased with the service and their candor about what they found (and didn’t find) in checking out the car. No upselling, no nonsense. Just straightforward service and communication. Also they are really nice. We will absolutely continue to take our cars there!
My car needed a lot of work and Mike was very transparent and honest about what needed to be done vs what can wait. I’ve brought my car here a couple times and they never push unnecessary work and gave me an incredible deal. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work. Great people doing great work at a fair price! Highly recommend and won’t be going elsewhere in the future.
Tenleytown Automotive is a wonderful local institution. They do reliable work at reasonable prices and have never disappointed me in terms of either service or timeliness. They are quite willing to give you feedback on extending the life of your car. Plus they have a convenient location right on Wisconsin Ave in Tenleytown.
My mechanic for the past 20 years retired and I was in search of a new auto service center. I was impressed by the reviews from Tenleytown Automotive and decided to try them. My car required general repair and maintenance work. They provided a very detailed outline of their recommended repairs, followed up by a phone call from Mike who answered my questions and gave even more details. I’m very pleased with the service Mike and his team provided and am happy to now have them as my new go-to auto service center. Great job!
My car broke down and Tenleytown Auto was the closest repair shop so I had it towed there. Ultimately the repairs were not worth it, given the ago and condition of my vehicle, so I had to get rid of it. But over the course of two to three days, Phil and was extremely patient with me as I arranged for the car to be picked up. He was honest and generous, even though he ultimately got no business from me, other than the initial diagnostic fee, which I'm sure did not cover all the time he spent documenting the dozens of issues my car had. I was very impressed. Next time I have a problem with a car, I am going to take it there.
