I went to Arcade with a larger group. We were traveling from out of town and needed a quick place to grab lunch. We were fortunate to have the staff accommodate our lage group on short notice. We all put our orders in. I was surprised at the somewhat limited menu offerings. My partner and I decided to split the gourmet grilled cheese (with sauteed spinach) and french fries. I also ordered a cup of chili on the side. Our drinks came our reasonably quickly. That's where time slowed down. We waited and waited, forced to listen to an Elvis impersonator who was working the patrons in the front of the room. After 45 minutes and Elvis's greatest hits, our food for the group slowly stated arriving at out tables. First out, a tiny bowl of fruit. Next, 2 miniature beignets. After a few plates of french toast and pancakes came out, we finally were delivered our gourmet grilled cheese and fries. They were split into 2 plates. My immediate reaction was of huge disappointment. It was a sad display for sure. The "gourmet" grilled cheese was anything but gourmet. Just regular wonderbread with a paltry amount of cheese and barely any other filling including the sauteed spinach which cost extra. It was overly greasy, flavorless and lukewarm. The french fries were also cold. The plate must have been in the window for a while. I never got my chili. We had to quickly scarf down the food as to not miss our prearranged meeting time with the rest of our group. Our server was working hard, but just overwhelmed. I would not recommend this place if your in a hurry or want quality food and service.
Breakfast dinner where Elvis used to go! We were seated at Elvis favorite table. Food was good and service very friendly! You have to try the redneck breakfast and the sweet potatoes pancakes.
Went here for breakfast. I ordered the French toast, it was over fried. Fried to the point it was crunchy. The turkey sausage was delish, you receive 2 and they are palm of a woman's hand size. My over medium eggs were a bit over easy and runny. I still ate them. The hashbrowns were undercooked for my liking. Just note if you like them crispy, make sure to tell the waitress. The coffee with liqueur was good. My husband had the sweet potatoe pancakes, with scrambled eggs and regular sausage. We sat at a both known to sit a legend. Right next to the Elvis Presley booth. Our waitress was kind.
This place has a nostalgic vibe straight out of a Hallmark movie. The food was amazing, and our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. I would absolutely return whenever we’re in the area and highly recommend it for a delicious meal.
Very nostalgic feel to this restaurant, like taking a trip down memory lane. I ordered the fried peanut butter and banana sandwich and avocado toast. The avocado toast was my favorite. It came with feta cheese, red onions, black olives and an order of hash browns. The portion sizes were decent. Service was rather quick and the servers were friendly. Cons: The famous peanut butter and banana sandwich was just that: a peanut butter and banana sandwich, nothing extraordinary. It’s cool that it was a staple for Elvis’ but honestly my son didn’t even finish it and he loves peanut butter sandwiches. We also noticed what appeared to be pieces of avocado on the peanut butter sandwich which wasn’t cool. As for the hash browns, they were good but not hot.
