We drove 2 hours to visit this store, and it was well worth the drive. The staff was very polite and helpful.
I was so disappointed. I have been going to The Dance Gallery all week and many sources say it’s open but when we go, it’s not. I signed up my daughter for ballet but she learned nothing but tap. She was crushed because she really wanted to do ballet. The shoes are overpriced and not good quality. I found a better place for her and I wouldn’t recommend The Dance Gallery.
So very disappointed to be writing this. We went into the dance gallery with high hopes for my 5 yo, at the recommendation of a trusted dance teacher in another town. We received a disheartening email out of the blue advising us to withdraw our daughter from class as she has been “unhappy” and “uncooperative,” and apparently not a single teacher was able to “connect.” I never once was called on the phone or pulled to the side before or after class at any point in the past 5 months, it was just a very abrupt email. I understand that neurodivergence is difficult for some to work with, and I believe that in any form of education, parents should be involved when there are issues. I would have loved the opportunity for my husband and/or I to have addressed the issue with our daughter and had her try again, but we were never given the opportunity. I believe the dance gallery probably does great things, but I feel our family was singled out and the situation was not handled collaboratively or fairly. My daughter is crushed. I truly hope others do not have the same experience.
So helpful! I had no clue what I was looking for, this being my daughter's first year, and they assisted me with everything.
I went in with my daughter to buy some tap shoes and the help that was provided was unbelievably great. I would recommend The Dance Gallery to any dance parent.
