Our group of five did ‘Through The Killer’s Lens’ and we’ve done many escape rooms in Australia and overseas. THE GOOD: - The puzzles were generally interesting to work through and solve - Robust mechanics that open up / unlock other areas - Happy helpful staff and the check in process was efficient - The Great Escape has a large carpark behind and the premises are well designed THE BAD: - The experience didn’t have an atmosphere of a photographer’s house, most of the rooms felt either vanilla with items mounted on the wall or on a table, or amateur constructed scenes, like someone had bought Halloween items you put in the front yard. - The game master communicated via what appeared to be battery powered wireless intercom units wall mounted in each of the rooms of the experience. The unit in one room wasn’t working, and the speaker sound emitting from the other units was low quality and was very difficult to understand the game master. - The 60 minutes is insufficient time to get through all of the puzzles. We asked that we be monitored for time and offered clues so that we can work through to the end. This didn’t happen. - The toilet hadn’t been cleaned in many many days and I was grossed out in there! Luckily I managed to escape in time! Note: The purpose of this review is NOT to give the vendor feedback, or solicit vendor platitudes for being helpful, but to provide an objective and fair review for potential customers when selecting a vendor for their next escape room.
One of the best escape rooms I've ever done - and I've done a lot. The rooms are very high tech and clean and each solve is very satisfying. The staff are super nice and friendly and Kira is especially cool. Defo recommend. Bring your friends. I did it with 8 people with no problems. Enjoy!
This is our third room here and it was so good - we didn't complete it so we are going back tonight to get it done! Highly recommend for a great fun hour! Update: just went back and completed the room - so good! Will be back to do the other 2 rooms soon.
We did the Wild West escape room and really enjoyed our experience. There were a great range of puzzles included in the room and our host Bennett was great and really helped to enhance our time in the game. Would definitely highly recommend.
We had so much fun! The escape room was such a great challenge — really well thought out and full of surprises. The quality and attention to detail were excellent, and it kept us thinking (and laughing!) the whole time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun, immersive experience!
