Was looking for a place for adult hip hop for quite a while. I always wanted to take classes but was a bit intimidated despite doing partner dances for a long time. I can't say enough good things about my experience at the Hive. I go on Sundays for the beginner and advanced beginner back to back. I've learned so much in just a few classes. All four of the instructors I've had so far have been nothing short of absolutely amazing. Not only is the dancing so cool and I'm doing things that I never thought I could, but I can't remember the last time I've felt a more positive environment that has been so welcoming, so chill and so positive. Everyone encourages one another and the instructors make it clear that it's okay to mess up and there's actually something really great about messing up or completely blanking during a combo you've learned. We don't have to be perfect! The other students have also been very positive and welcoming to me as well. Such a positive experience. I find myself smiling through so much of the time spent there. I have nothing but positive things to say and I can't wait to continue my growth and learning at the Hive.

Took my first hip-hop class (ever) on Jan 8 with Joseph, and I had a blast! Katrina (front desk) is super nice. I was nervous, and she assured me I would have fun and what the class structure was like. The other students are really nice and make you feel comfortable in class. Great place and located very close to a municipal parking deck.

I can’t say more incredible things about this studio. I just started last week, and have already signed up for a 10-class set. I take beginner hip hop and open contemporary, with absolutely no dance background. But after reading all the reviews before going, they live up to the hype and beyond. The instructors are all so talented, encouraging, supportive, and just overall amazing teachers. I did trial classes at other studios and no other studio has instructors that teach in such an effective way like Hive instructors do (I’ve done classes with Joseph, Milcah, and Andrew—all amazing). I’m so grateful that they encourage questions because as a new dancer I tend to have a lot, and knowing the instructors are willing to help makes the learning process so much better and less intimidating. I also love that even on the beginner classes, they still give us a good challenge. The choreography is always so much fun and full of quality. The overall vibe and energy of the studio is everything, and I truly can’t recommend this studio enough!

Absolutely LOVE the hive dance studio! So far I’ve taken class with Joseph and Andrew and every class I have such an awesome time! I look forward to going every week! I’ve heard amazing things about the other teachers so I’m excited to take their classes as well! The teachers always go out of their way to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident with the choreography! Plus the studio has such a fun vibe to it! You definitely have to check out the studio! Such a fun spot!

The Hive Dance Studio hat dieses Jahr eröffnet und ich könnte nicht glücklicher sein mit dem Lehrpersonal oder der Qualität des Services, den sie bieten! Als NJs erstes reines urbanes Tanzstudio weiß ich, dass egal, von wem ich lerne, ich mit dem Gefühl nach Hause gehen werde, dass ich mich als Tänzer weiterentwickelt habe. Außerdem ist das Personal unglaublich gastfreundlich und die Lehrer sind ausgezeichnet. Ob Anfänger, Fortgeschrittene oder Profi-Tänzer, wird jeder gut betreut. Für jeden, der in NJ einen Tanzkurs belegen möchte, empfehle ich The Hive wärmstens!
