The Perfect Workout has very effective marketing aimed at middle-aged women with disposable income. Based on that, I invested heavily, expecting a personalized, supportive experience to help me work through chronic pain and rebuild strength. During my initial assessment, I worked with Gabe and felt comfortable sharing relevant trauma history and physical concerns. For the first couple of months, I felt supported and saw meaningful improvement in my strength and confidence. Unfortunately, it soon became clear that the organization prioritizes internal operations over continuity of care. My schedule was abruptly changed and I was reassigned to a new trainer without notice or discussion. When I raised concerns with the local manager (Tracy), it was clear she had no understanding of my history, goals, or needs, and no trauma-informed framework. The focus was on company policy rather than client care. I requested to speak with the regional manager (Denise), but she never made herself available for a direct conversation. Despite this, I worked to establish rapport with my new trainer, Lu, and continued making progress. That progress was disrupted again when my schedule was changed a second time—this time to a slot I cannot attend—again without consultation or regard for my circumstances. At that point, it was clear that consistency, communication, and client-centered care are not part of their operating model. I ultimately left to find a more individualized, professional service better suited to people with complex physical and trauma-related needs.
Been going to The Perfect Workout (TPW) Mission Valley for over 3 years and have built strength and flexibility to keep me in tip top shape with just 2 20-minute sessions per week. When I travel, I do TPW workouts virtually so I never miss a session wherever I am in the world. Great fun and professional trainers too. I am sold for life. Give it a try!
Tracy brings such immense positive energy to every training session, balanced with her deep knowledge and awareness of potential injuries for every movement. She’s wonderful for clients of all ages, especially anyone who needs a little extra care and caution while training. Honestly, I probably would’ve hurt myself by now if she hadn’t been there when I first started lifting. I even had my mother train with her and within months, she saw incredible results!
The Perfect Workout has been part of my routine for a couple of years now. I really enjoy that you get a hard workout done in a short period of time. I really focused on strengthening my legs before my hip replacement surgery and it made my recovery so much quicker. The PT evaluator couldn't believe how fast I was improving. I highly recommend the Mission Valley location.

I have a very knowledgeable trainer who is very informative & pushes me just the perfect way & amount to keep me motivated to continue going to the right direction & growing in my journey towards my personal goal. My trainer Tracy takes care of me & very attentive & meets me where I am by listening to my needs & level of energy at any given day. The place is very clean & organized & Tracy is always on time & ready to go with a big smile & a positive, motivating energy - just what I need before & during a workout. She's very sociable & she was able to build rapport right away. After all it's a definite 5 star for not only having a perfect workout every time but for having a excellent customer service.
