Today, Burtoo had her canine tooth extraction with Dr John at The Point Veterinarian, and I am truly so grateful. At other clinics, Burtoo could not have an IV catheter placed, which meant her procedure kept being postponed. Without an IV line, she was unable to receive any medical treatment at all. I explained this situation to Dr John, and today, we were finally able to proceed with the extraction. What meant the most to me was that we didn’t have to go on a long “clinic tour” anymore. We were able to come here, have a proper consultation, and complete the procedure on the same day. That was such a relief. Burtoo has now been treated successfully and is recovering well and comfortably. If anyone were to ask me for a recommendation, I would not hesitate for a second to recommend The Point Veterinarian and Dr John. For Burtoo as well, we plan to settle here and continue any future care she may need at this clinic. Thank you so much for today’s treatment and care.
Dr John and the team have just taken care of my beautiful 12 year old boy Banksy after finding a large tumour on his spleen that had unfortunately ruptured. Our choices were laid out to us informatively, calmly and Dr John even stayed behind to allow me to ask as many questions as I needed, as our options were either surgery or sleep. We wanted to give our boy a fighting chance, as did Dr John and we went through with surgery confident we had put his life in the hands of the best team. He has come through absolutely brilliantly, and while we don't have the results yet on if we have bought him months or years, we know that we have given him the best chance of living out the rest of his life happy, comfortable and hopefully, cancer free. Thanks John and the team for giving us, and our little girl her best friend back.
About 8 months ago we brought Teddy to the clinic. He has previously been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease and has been told to be put down by the other clinic. Dr John and the team have LITERALLY saved his life, got his weight back to normal and kept him going for 8 whole month which has been an absolute gift. Unfortunately the disease took over and last night I had to come to a decision to put him down. I want say a massive thank you to Dr Ben, the nurses, Natalia for comforting both me and him and helping go through this heartbreaking moment. It’s very tough, but I couldn’t feel any safer, heard, seen and understood if it wasn’t for the whole team. Not only you gifted him 8 more months and did absolutely everything for him, but you also helped him go in peace and comfort. I am very grateful for the whole team!! Whoever is reading this - any problem you have with your pet, bring them here, because this is probably the only clinic on the Gold Coast who actually do care about your pets as you do!!
First appt taking our newly adopted senior Great Dane to Dr John. He was amazing with him and so knowledgable. You can tell he knows animals and loves them. We will definitely be keeping Dr John as our regular vet for whatever time our boy has left with us 🩷
A big thank-you to Dr. Carla and the team for taking such wonderful care of Kahlua. She went through the diagnosis in detail and discussed the treatment with compassion and professionalism. The follow up by phone makes you realise they really care about the outcome. I am so glad we found you. Would recommend to all pet owners. Kahlua is now on the mend and feeling so much better.
