This is just for the restaurant (will add more when we try games or other survives). Large screens and spacious area. Food is good - I was expecting less quality but pleasantly surprised. The table service was great too - very much a situation where individual personality came through rather than formulaic waitress expectations to check off. I enjoy when staff’s is permitted to be themselves and they can operate however matches their personality. Overall so far so good! Burger was good!
First time visiting the Rec Room and I thought the menu was a bit shocking since it had some fascinating CAFE choices that I wasn't expecting. Everything our group chose (from the 5 of us) was fantastic! My elderly parents would even enjoy eating here, and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were also very helpful and personable. I had a blast with the variety of games available, especially the axe throwing, archery and bowling - all in one location!!! What a fun place to get together, for friends and family outings.
I’ve been to The Rec Room in Winnipeg several times and always had a good time, but my most recent visit was frustrating. Without any warning, they recently changed their pricing model: games now cost more credits to play with some games double their original credits, and at the same time, the price of credits has barely decreased. This means if you saved up credits from a previous visit, they’re now worth significantly less, basically devaluing your money. Not only this, but the recent price change gives only 20% more credits, when some games charge almost 100% more credits than before. It feels like a quiet cash grab, and it really took away from the experience. I understand prices go up, but doing it suddenly without notifying customers, especially when it affects previously purchased credits, is disappointing and unfair. The games are still fun, but the overall value just isn’t there anymore. If you’re planning a visit, double-check the new credit system and be prepared to spend more than you used to. On the flip side, tickets have not been affected by inflation as much. I hope they reconsider how they roll out pricing changes in the future. Loyal guests deserve better.
Been going here on occasion and it's always a good time. There's new arcade games coming in often enough in my opinion. Some games feel not worth the price to be honest, especially when I've been there before the price increase. There's definitely some days where I've been waiting at the front for coat check/pick up my coat for more than 10 minutes because of no staff in the front, which is unfortunate. Overall I go for the atmosphere and to play some games with friends which is a fun time.
I went to the rec room while on vacation with my family. We went on Monday and I had the all you can eat wings. I wish there were more flavors available but the quality was very good and the size per refill was fair. My waitress was very nice and I got refills promptly. I paid for the $35 credit and was able to do bowling and plenty of games for the 4 hours that we were there. A lot of the games don't give many tickets but are still very fun! Overall I had a great time and I felt the price were reasonable for what I got.
