The 25 dollar wine tastings are great you get to try 6 bottles and revisit one. The service was great as well when it came to shipping and the hospitality was something out of the 4 seasons without breaking the bank
Ordered online and somehow the shipping address got conflated with the billing address -- could have been my fault, but when I emailed customer service to get it fixed, I NEVER got a reply. Also, when I wrote to ask why they ship Fedex Ground during the heat of the summer, I NEVER got a reply. When I called the customer service number on the website, I spoke to someone from another company (but the address problem did get fixed). Bottom line, if you want to order wine online, use a professional like wine.com.
Great store, great service, great selection of drinks, beautiful location of the store itself. Unfortunately, I did not find the Cyprus wine "Commandaria" (it is not available in retail stores in San Francisco and must be ordered online), but I am very pleased with my choice of cognac and dessert wine today, my visit to the store and its interior, and the service.
Always a neighborhood gem, known for its wide selection of wines and spirits. At the end of 2022, they refurbished the interior, and it now has very comfortable seating in the main room and a delightful curved bar in the back room. The staff are as friendly and knowledgeable as they always were - there to offer good advice whatever your budget, and happy to let you get on with it if you know what you want. No high pressure sales tactics or attempts to up sell you here. Thoroughly recommended.
Excellent stock, both local and old world This was the only place that still had Opus One Overture that wasn't exorbitantly priced. Staff was very helpful and helped me find what I needed within a few minutes of entering. I do wish I lived closer, but I'm glad that there even exists a shop outside of franchises that carries some of what they have here On a positive note, since it's rather out of the way from downtown, parking was incredibly easy. Just parked next to the church across the street. One of the better parking experiences in SF
